AI Summary

Lead the end-to-end design of digital experiments to improve customer engagement and revenue growth across a large-scale eCommerce experience. Create high-fidelity mockups and prototypes in Figma while iterating rapidly based on A/B testing results and data-driven insights.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly creative and data-driven Senior Experimentation Designer to lead the design of digital experiments that improve customer engagement, conversion, loyalty enrollment, premium product adoption, and revenue growth across a large-scale eCommerce experience.

This role is ideal for a designer who thrives at the intersection of UX, visual design, behavioral psychology, and experimentation. You will own the end-to-end design process for A/B and multivariate tests, translating business hypotheses into compelling customer experiences that can be rapidly tested, measured, and optimized.

The ideal candidate combines exceptional design craft with a strong experimentation mindset and embraces AI-powered design tools to accelerate ideation, prototyping, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver UX and visual design solutions for experimentation initiatives across key digital customer journeys.
  • Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and developer-ready specifications in Figma.
  • Develop multiple design approaches for testing hypotheses and provide rationale for how each variation may influence customer behavior and conversion.
  • Design and optimize customer-facing experiences including promotional content, upsell messaging, loyalty program acquisition, co-branded credit card acquisition, checkout experiences, and other conversion-focused surfaces.
  • Iterate rapidly based on testing results, stakeholder feedback, and business priorities, often delivering weekly design updates and new experimental concepts.
  • Partner closely with analysts, developers, product stakeholders, and marketing teams to identify optimization opportunities and execute test roadmaps.
  • Support implementation and QA processes to ensure designs are accurately translated into production environments.
  • Contribute to the evolution of reusable design patterns, components, and design system assets based on experiment learnings.
  • Apply principles of conversion optimization, behavioral psychology, and persuasive design to improve customer engagement and business performance.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for experimentation and user experience improvements through experience audits and data-driven insights.
  • Leverage AI-powered design and productivity tools to accelerate design workflows, improve output quality, and increase testing velocity.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in UX/UI, Product Design, Digital Design, or related disciplines.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Figma, including component architecture, auto-layout, variables, prototyping, and design systems.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating both UX strategy and polished visual design execution.
  • Experience designing customer-facing eCommerce, marketing, or conversion-focused digital experiences.
  • Ability to independently move from concept through production-ready design deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, typography, color, layout, accessibility, responsive design, and interaction design.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, analytics, engineering, and marketing teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent design iterations and testing cycles.
  • Experience using AI-powered design tools such as Figma Make, Claude Design, ChatGPT, or similar platforms to accelerate design workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with A/B testing, experimentation, or Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) programs.
  • Experience using experimentation and personalization platforms such as Dynamic Yield, Optimizely, VWO, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with web analytics and behavioral insight tools.
  • Background in travel, hospitality, retail, subscription, financial services, or other high-volume eCommerce environments.
  • Experience conducting usability research or working with qualitative research platforms.
  • Motion design experience, including micro-interactions and transitions.

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistently delivers high-quality experiment designs that improve customer engagement and conversion performance.
  • Produces multiple test-ready concepts quickly while maintaining strong visual and UX standards.
  • Effectively partners with cross-functional stakeholders to drive experimentation initiatives from concept through launch.
  • Uses data, behavioral insights, and design expertise to influence test strategy and business outcomes.
  • Continuously improves design efficiency through the adoption of AI-powered workflows and emerging technologies.

Work Environment

  • Collaborative, agile team environment focused on rapid experimentation and continuous optimization.
  • Weekly design reviews and iterative testing cadence.
  • Opportunity to directly influence customer experience and measurable business results through design-led experimentation.
