Location: GBR - Mobile Eng | Job-ID: 219948 | Contract type: Standard | Business Unit: Customer Success & Service Delivery

Life on the team

Our Transition & Transformation team plays a critical role in the successful delivery of complex Managed Services transitions, service exits, large transformation programmes and sensitive in-life change projects. As Country Portfolio Director, you will operate at the heart of this environment, working closely with senior customer stakeholders, Country leadership, GMS leadership, Sales and Service Management, Service Delivery, People Leaders and the wider T&T community.

This is a senior leadership role requiring strong executive judgement, commercial awareness and the ability to build confidence and trust at pace. You will lead through influence, bring teams together around shared outcomes and help create a high-performing portfolio culture focused on quality, customer success and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

  • Take end-to-end accountability for the commercial, contractual, execution and customer success outcomes of complex transition and transformation engagements within your portfolio.
  • Contribute to the review and management of the T&T pipeline, ensuring the right level of support, governance and resource planning is in place during pre-sales, contract and delivery stages.
  • Provide senior leadership across portfolio delivery (should this be ‘execution), ensuring projects are delivered to agreed scope, quality, time and budget expectations.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for high-profile or high-risk engagements, both internally and with customers.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders, Country leadership, GMS leadership, Sales and Service Management, Service Delivery and wider business functions.
  • Work closely with People Leaders and the Head of T&T Practice to support resource planning, risk management and delivery assurance.
  • Own and drive compliance with internal governance, methodology, reporting and checkpoint requirements, ensuring quality standards are consistently met.
  • Lead improvement activity across your portfolio, using insight, lessons learned and KPI performance to strengthen future delivery outcomes.

What you'll need

  • The ability to think beyond individual programmes and act as a strategic business leader, translating T&T activity into improved customer outcomes, commercial performance, service readiness and long-term country success.
  • A proven ability to influence across the full customer and sales lifecycle, engaging early with stakeholders, shaping decisions and creating value before delivery begins.
  • The ability to lead through collaboration, foster collective intelligence and operate effectively within a matrix environment, creating alignment across multiple functions, disciplines and leadership teams to achieve shared outcomes.
  • Significant experience in IT, programme, project or portfolio management within complex technology or managed services environments.
  • Proven experience leading large, multi-disciplinary and distributed teams delivering transition, transformation or major in-life change projects.
  • Strong commercial understanding, including experience managing budgets, risk, contingency and project or portfolio financial performance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation and negotiation skills, with the credibility to operate at senior customer and executive levels.
  • A strong understanding of governance, delivery assurance, risk management and service transition methodologies, with knowledge of ITIL or similar frameworks.
  • The ability to work at pace, interpret complex information quickly and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving capability and the resilience to manage ambiguity, challenge and competing priorities.
  • A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to influence without direct authority and bring the right people together to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Good knowledge of Computacenter’s services, operating model and internal functions would be highly advantageous.

Key Leadership Behaviours

  • Leads with a customer and value-first mindset, balancing commercial success with outstanding customer outcomes.
  • Builds trusted partnerships through collaboration, curiosity and influence rather than hierarchy.
  • Demonstrates enterprise thinking, taking accountability for country-level outcomes ahead of individual programme priorities.
  • Creates clarity and confidence in ambiguity, making timely decisions while bringing others with them on the journey.
  • Encourages collective intelligence and continuous improvement, fostering an environment where challenge, innovation and learning are welcomed
