Senior QA Engineer – On-Prem to Azure Migration (India)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer based in India with proven experience in testing On-Prem to Azure migration projects. This is an individual contributor role requiring strong technical expertise, ownership, and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with customer teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating cloud migration success, ensuring application reliability, and maintaining high quality standards across Azure environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently design and execute test strategies for On-Prem to Azure migration projects.
• Validate application functionality, data integrity, and performance post-migration.
• Collaborate directly with customer teams to understand legacy systems and define migration testing requirements.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites for Azure-hosted applications and services.
• Perform regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing across Azure environments.
• Integrate testing workflows into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Monitor test execution, log defects, and drive resolution with engineering and cloud teams.
• Ensure compliance with Azure best practices including security, scalability, and availability.
• Document test results, provide actionable insights, and support go-live readiness.

Technical Skills Required:

• Cloud Platform: Microsoft Azure (VMs, App Services, Storage, Networking, Identity, Monitoring)
• Migration Testing: Hands-on experience validating infrastructure and application migrations from On-Prem to Azure
• Testing Tools: Selenium, Postman, JMeter, TestNG, or similar
• Automation Frameworks: Experience building and maintaining automated test suites
• CI/CD Integration: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins
• Scripting Languages: PowerShell, Python, Bash (any)
• Monitoring & Logging: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, App Insights
• Version Control: Git (GitHub, Azure Repos)
• Defect Management: Jira, Azure Boards

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in enterprise-scale Azure migration projects
• Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure, networking, and security principles
• Exposure to containerized environments (Docker, AKS)
• Experience in testing the migration of financial solutions from On-Prem to Azure
• Certifications such as ISTQB or AZ-104
• Excellent communication and customer-facing collaboration skills
