Join our team as a Business Development Surgical Robotic Lead for Jeddah/Riyadh, owning relationships with top hospitals to drive growth, expand Robotic adoption, and deliver high‑impact value solutions. This role puts you at the centre of executive engagement, customer partnership, and meaningful healthcare impact in one of the region’s most critical markets.

A Medtronic Surgical Robotics business developer is responsible for selling the Medtronic Hugo™ Robotic Assisted Surgery System to a selected list of our existing hospitals clients. This requires several talents, including the ability to build a coalition of supporters within each hospital, strong client engagement and problem-solving skills, being full of energy to keep going through long and complex sales cycles, topped with a natural eagerness and drive to bring opportunities to closure.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining High level relationships with strategic partners and working with them to identify and qualify new business opportunities.
  • Develops and drives appropriate Robotic and digital surgery management strategy in collaboration with Strategic account managers to expand, optimize pricing strategy, and build long-term contractual agreements and relationships with clients and strategic partners.
  • Develops, communicates, and implements business plans to achieve strategic target business results.
  • Identifies and develops ongoing mutual opportunities for sales growth with key strategic accounts.
  • Develops proposals and assesses customer needs in order to recommend customized solutions.
  • Works to achieve individual sales targets and execute sales strategy by developing new accounts and/or expanding existing accounts, expanding and developing new markets, and building strategic client base.
  • May manage multiple large accounts or large, complex, high visibility, strategic, or tactically important accounts, involving multiple team members.
  • Engage with surgeon teams to assess the opportunity for expansion of robotic assisted surgery.
  • Support surgical teams in leading hospitals to enhance and augment their clinical strategy through the use of the Medtronic Hugo™ Surgical Robotic System.
  • Convince surgical teams of the benefits brought by the Medtronic Hugo™ Surgical Robotic System in areas of improved outcomes, benefits to patients, faster recovery, benefits of advanced surgical techniques, superiority of advanced 3D & high-resolution imaging during surgery, benefits of digital solution for surgery, ease of use for surgical teams, OR efficiency, cost effectivity.
  • To engage and to convince budget-holders and executives in leading hospitals by jointly developing business cases and total cost of ownership (TCO) comparisons and cost per procedure analysis to support making informed decisions regarding the purchase and use of the Medtronic Hugo™ Surgical Robotic System.

Required Knowledge and Experience: 

  • Proven business acumen with the ability to negotiate complex contract terms and manage end-to-end agreements
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree, preferably in field of life sciences or biomedical engineering, and preferably MBA.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in leading Robotic negotiations and selling complex medical device or capital equipment with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare industry in Saudi Arabia and region, Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • High level of financial acumen skills given extensive focus in role of deal architecture and financial analysis and excellent computer literacy including a high level of knowledge MS Office suite of software
  • You are a winner, but in the right way. You play by the rules and do not cut corners ethically.
  • You respect and adhere to company policies
  • You maintain active network in the field of surgery, operating theatres and have network of surgeons to you connect with regularly.
  • Travelling request: +30% of the time
  • Fluent in Arabic and English
