STAFF ACCOUNTANT - HYBRID - WASHINGTON, DC - 70-80 + BONUS

As a Staff Accountant, you'll be at the forefront of their financial operations, ensuring precision and efficiency in every transaction. From overseeing accounts payable to managing credit card reconciliations, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining their fiscal integrity. Here's what you'll tackle:

Accounts Payable Excellence (50%):

  • Meticulously review invoices and check requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Spearhead communication with vendors and employees, swiftly resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain meticulous records, upholding the highest standards of accountability.

Streamlined Credit Card Management (35%):

  • Process corporate credit cards seamlessly, guaranteeing adherence to policy and procedure.
  • Verify expenses and documentation, safeguarding financial transparency and responsibility.
  • Execute journal entries with precision, contributing to a streamlined financial ecosystem.

Monthly Financial Governance (10%):

  • Conduct thorough analysis and reconciliation of accounts receivable/payable, ensuring accuracy.
  • Facilitate smooth month-end and year-end procedures, supporting comprehensive reporting.
  • Collaborate on audit activities and compliance efforts, reinforcing our commitment to excellence.

Additional Support (5%):

  • Assist senior leadership as needed, contributing to cross-functional initiatives and projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, laying the foundation for your expertise.
  • 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience, demonstrating your proficiency.
  • Keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in every task.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit operations, offering valuable insight into our unique environment.
  • Strong communication skills, facilitating collaboration and clarity across teams.
  • Proficiency in GAAP and Microsoft Office, with experience in accounting software being a plus.

Work Schedule: They prioritize work-life balance and offer a hybrid schedule, with employees currently in the office three times a week. Specific schedules will be arranged between employees and their managers, ensuring flexibility and support.
