ABOUT THE ROLE

US Signal is looking for an IT infrastructure and hosting-focused Solution Architect to join our sales enablement team that resides in Wisconsin, Minnesota, or Illinois.  In this role, you’ll be the technical voice in the sales process. You’ll work with internal teams, partners, and customers to make sure the IT infrastructure and hosting solutions we propose fit each customer’s business needs and drive revenue.

You’ll run technical discovery, develop technical diagrams, deliver presentations and proposals, and teach prospects about our services: colocation, WAN, cloud, data protection, cybersecurity, and managed services. You’ll also lead data center tours and hand-off closed deals to our implementation teams with complete and robust technical documentation.

What You’ll Do

• Lead technical discovery and solution design. Build tailored network and cloud solutions for customer engagements. Adjust on the fly during meetings and present alternative solutions with confidence.
• Educate and advise. Help internal teams, partners, and customers understand our products, services, and industry trends. Run regular training sessions for the broader team on sales and technology topics.
• Present and propose. Deliver stunning visualizations, diagrams, presentations and proposals, including quarterly signature deal presentations, that clearly state our value and address customer challenges.
• Collaborate across teams. Work with internal teams to deliver proposals on time with accurate pricing, and move closed deals smoothly to implementation. Close deals independently, or fill in for Account Executives, when needed.
• Showcase our data centers. Lead customer and partner data center tours.
• Stay ahead of the market. Keep up with emerging technologies and look for new opportunities to grow the business.

Requirements

What you bring to the team:

• Cloud & Virtualization Expertise: Deep knowledge of cloud computing, virtualization, and modern architectures (converged/hyper-converged), including Apache CloudStack, KVM hypervisor, and Nutanix HCI.
• Network & Security Proficiency: Strong understanding of routing protocols (BGP), SD-WAN, SASE solutions, and network security principles; experience with Cisco/Meraki networking, Palo Alto Next-Gen Firewalls, and Cato SASE.
• Data Center & Data Protection Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of data center operations (power systems, UPS, generators, cooling redundancy), storage architectures, and data protection technologies and best practices.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree or 4+ Years Professional Experience consultative/solution selling B2B sales role

Experience:

• Solution Architect: 4+ Years Experience ?in comparable role, with expertise in network and cloud technologies, proven leadership in guiding organization shift to cloud-based model. Preferable background in data center and cloud services provider environment.?  
• Sr. Solution Architect: 6+ Years Experience ?in comparable role, with expertise in network and cloud technologies, proven leadership in guiding organization shift to cloud-based model. Preferable background in data center and cloud services provider environment.?  

Required License(s)/Certification(s):

• Valid driver’s license and insurance
• Advanced vendor certification in a current technology offering within the product suite.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

This position may be performed in either a standard office setting or a home office environment. It requires prolonged periods of sitting, frequent use of a computer and other office equipment, and effective time management in a self-directed work environment. Occasional lifting of items up to 25 pounds may be required.

Solution Architect:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $95,000-$125,000 per year, depending on location, skills, experience, and other job-related factors. This position is also eligible for a performance-based incentive plan, with on-target earnings of $55,000.

Sr. Solution Architect:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $112,000-$150,000 per year, depending on location, skills, experience, and other job-related factors. This position is also eligible for a performance-based incentive plan, with on-target earnings of $55,000.
