Legal Operations Program Manager –  Data Governance & AI 

About the Role

We are seeking a Legal Operations Sr. Program Manager to support data governance and AI enablement by coordinating cross-functional execution, improving processes, and operationalizing responsible governance practices.

This role partners with Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Security, IT, Product, and business teams to translate governance priorities into practical workflows, documentation, reporting, and change management.

In a Typical Week, You Might Work On...

Legal Operations Support for Data Governance & AI Enablement

Supporting data governance and AI-related intake, review coordination, documentation, workflows, reporting, and program management.

Partnering with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements, roles, process gaps, and operating procedures.

Creating and maintaining governance artifacts, SOPs, decision logs, risk trackers, training materials, and reporting routines.

Program Management & Cross-Functional Leadership

Managing Legal Operations programs from discovery through implementation, adoption, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Coordinating governance and technology enablement initiatives to ensure alignment, visibility, and measurable outcomes.

Minimum Requirements

Professional Experience

  • 4+ years in Legal Operations, Program Management, Compliance, Risk, Data Governance, AI Governance, Business Operations, Consulting, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting governance, compliance, risk, process improvement, or technology implementation initiatives.
  • Experience developing documentation, SOPs, controls, workflows, playbooks, decision logs, and oversight processes.
  • Strong program management skills with the ability to manage priorities, stakeholders, and execution.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment across business, legal, compliance, and risk considerations.
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into clear workflows, documentation, and governance materials.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with legal operations, data governance, AI governance, privacy, security, compliance, or enterprise risk management.
  • Familiarity with AI governance frameworks such as NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, OECD AI Principles, or related programs.
  • Experience with AI risk assessments, vendor assessments, control tracking, GRC platforms, or workflow automation tools.
  • Certification in Project Management, Agile, Risk Management, Privacy, Compliance, AI Governance, or related disciplines.
