You will develop and refine product positioning, messaging, and content to effectively communicate Cogent's value to security practitioners. Additionally, you will drive product launches, manage competitive intelligence, and provide sales enablement tools to support enterprise deal cycles.
Cogent is an Applied AI Lab building the next generation of AI agents for cybersecurity. Cogent’s "AI Taskforce" assesses petabytes of enterprise data to remediate these issues before critical breaches occur.
To stay at the cutting edge, we blend frontier research with real-world execution. Alongside our core product work, Cogent Research serves as our applied AI lab, providing the research horsepower needed to make truly agentic security workflows a reality.
Since coming out of stealth, Cogent has experienced rapid growth. We partner with Fortune 500 companies to secure some of the most complex production environments in the world.
We’re backed by Greylock and we’ve built a team with the best minds in applied AI. Our team is comprised of people from:
Top universities like Stanford, Berkeley, Penn, Duke, Carnegie Mellon, Waterloo
Unicorn, high-growth companies like Scale AI, Databricks, Stripe, Tesla, Coinbase

Cogent is building a world-class marketing team, and we're looking for smart, fast, exceptional people who are committed to our mission and bring a spark of creativity that sets us apart from traditional B2B marketing. As an early member of product marketing, you'll have an immediate, highly visible impact on how Cogent shows up in a crowded market. If you like crafting content that is clear, specific, and actually resonates with security practitioners (without the typical "marketing speak"), you'll fit in well here. You'll build the assets that carry Cogent's positioning into the field: battlecards and competitive intel, sales enablement, product and solution pages, and launch content. Your job is to translate product differentiation into stories, proof, and sales tools that win enterprise deals, with room to grow as the function scales.
Messaging & Content
Develop and refine positioning for new products and capabilities within Cogent's core narrative.
Sharpen and tailor the Cogent story for specific audiences, such as partners, media, and more
Write product pages, solution pages, datasheets, blog posts, and whitepapers that security practitioners actually read.
Launch Execution
Drive tier 1 launches end to end: internal readiness, stakeholder alignment, release messaging, web updates, and enablement.
Bring tier 2 and 3 capabilities to market on a regular cadence to show momentum.
Competitive Intelligence
Run the competitive program day to day: track vendors, source product insights, documentation, and demos, and keep battlecards current and field-ready.
Ensure that sales is armed with the latest market understanding and knows how to apply it
Turn win/loss patterns into objection handling and sales plays.
Sales Enablement
Build and maintain solution briefs, one-pagers, and demo storyline inputs.
Work with sales to understand friction points and figure out ways to solve those
Support POCs and technical evaluations with guides, operationalization docs, and ROI/value frameworks.
AI-Native Execution
Use AI to accelerate drafts, variants, and repurposing while holding the bar on accuracy and quality.
Must-Have
4-7+ years in B2B product marketing with cybersecurity domain expertise
Excellent writing. Clear, specific, and credible to security practitioners.
Strong verbal communication. You present well to sales, product, and customers.
High output and initiative. Fast, responsive, self-directed.
A high bar for your own work. Good isn't good enough.
Nice-to-Have
Experience in vulnerability management, exposure management, ASM/CAASM, AppSec/CloudSec adjacencies.
Hands-on competitive intel experience: sourcing products, documentation, and demos.
Experience supporting technical evaluations/POCs and security review processes.
