Who You Are

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Sr. People Operations Specialist to join our growing People Operations team. This role is responsible for owning key People Operations processes and ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent delivery across the employee lifecycle.

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on People Operations experience, is comfortable independently managing complex operational matters, and can identify opportunities to improve processes and employee experience. You are organized, comfortable working with systems and data, and able to collaborate effectively across teams while navigating a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.

You will also contribute to improving operational efficiency, adopting automation and AI-enabled solutions, and driving consistent People Operations practices across the team.

What You’ll Be Doing

People Operations

  • Own key employee lifecycle processes including offboarding, role transitions, promotions, transfers, and other internal movements.
  • Manage employee requests and People Operations tickets, independently resolving complex queries and acting as an escalation point for operational issues within assigned areas.
  • Own recurring People Operations activities including leave and attendance management, localized benefits administration, payroll inputs and validations, employee documentation, and employment verification.
  • Support People Operations across India, the US, and EOR populations based on business requirements.
  • Maintain process documentation, SOPs, trackers, and controls to ensure consistent and reliable execution.
  • Own or contribute to People Operations projects and initiatives based on business priorities.

Process Improvement, Automation and Collaboration

  • Review operational data, SLA trends, recurring issues, and process gaps to identify and drive opportunities for improvement.
  • Improve People Operations processes and workflows to reduce manual effort, strengthen controls, and enhance operational efficiency and employee experience.
  • Partner with People Technology on HR system enhancements, integrations, testing, workflow changes, and automation initiatives.
  • Leverage AI and other technology solutions to streamline routine activities and improve operational efficiency while ensuring appropriate handling of employee and confidential data.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Payroll, Finance, IT, Talent Acquisition, Legal, and People Technology to resolve operational dependencies and improve processes.
  • Support the implementation and adoption of new or updated People systems, policies, and processes.

Data Management, Compliance and Reporting

  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of employee data and lifecycle transactions across the HRIS and related People systems.
  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations, identify data discrepancies or operational risks, and drive timely resolution.
  • Ensure assigned processes are executed in accordance with established SLAs, internal policies, controls, and applicable compliance requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits, compliance reporting, and data requests by providing accurate records and documentation.
  • Prepare and review recurring and ad hoc People Operations reports as required.

Experience / Education / Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in People Operations, Employee Services, or a related HR function.
  • Strong working knowledge of employee lifecycle and core People Operations processes.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms such as Darwinbox, ADP, or similar systems.
  • Experience supporting India People Operations, along with experience or exposure to US and/or EOR operations.
  • Experience independently handling complex employee and operational matters with sound judgment and appropriate escalation.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements, including the use of systems, automation, or workflow enhancements.
  • Comfortable adopting AI and emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver against established timelines and SLAs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and make sound decisions within established policies and frameworks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, Google Workspace, and collaboration tools such as Slack.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced SaaS, technology-driven, or globally distributed organization is highly preferred.
