Role Summary
The Senior Associate / Lead drives Bhumi's institutional fundraising by identifying grant opportunities, writing funder-ready proposals, and ensuring accurate, on-time donor reporting — working closely with program teams to keep proposals and reports grounded in what's actually happening on the ground.
Primary Responsibilities (5)
Grant Research & Pipeline Building — Identify and evaluate national and international grant opportunities aligned to Bhumi's unrestricted-funding priorities (capacity building, tech, op-ex); track RFPs and funding trends to keep a live pipeline.
Proposal Development & Writing — Partner with program teams to write clear, compelling, funder-ready proposals — narrative, budget, and impact metrics — that meet each funder's eligibility and format requirements.
Grant Lifecycle & Compliance Management — Own the full lifecycle from application to closeout: track deadlines, manage submissions, and maintain accurate, up-to-date records in Bhumi's grants database/CRM.
Donor Reporting — Prepare timely, accurate progress reports for each funder, in full compliance with donor requirements.
Cross-functional Collaboration — Work with program and M&E teams to gather inputs, verify impact data, and keep proposals and reports anchored in real project outcomes.
Preferred Education & Experience
Bachelor's/Master's degree in a relevant field (nonprofit management, public administration, business administration, or similar).
1- 3 years of experience in grant research, grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit fund development.
Prior volunteering experience with Bhumi or a similar organization is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong grant research, proposal writing, and grant-management fundamentals.
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate complex program information into a persuasive narrative.
Detail-oriented, with solid organizational and project-management habits.
Comfortable managing multiple funder deadlines independently in a remote setup.
Working proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace and CRM tools.
