Skills Needed

  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices (Technical SEO, On-page SEO, UX, Content strategy, Link building).
  • Solid knowledge of Google algorithm updates and SEO trends.
  • Familiarity with Web & Tracking tools (GA4, GTM; basic HTML/CSS understanding is a plus).
  • Excellent team management and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members.
  • An analytical mindset and the ability to interpret data.
  • Experience managing client escalations and driving resolutions.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally (PPC, Web, CX).
  • High level of organization and process-driven approach.


Specific Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to SEO specialists, web specialists, and writers through monthly 1:1s and weekly team meetings.
  • Conduct initial training and expectation-setting for new SEO team members.
  • Manage active SEO accounts.
  • Conduct weekly follow-ups with each team member to review fulfillment and quality.
  • Ensure daily fulfillment through dashboards in ClickUp.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with the CX manager.
  • Provide feedback on SEO SOPs and ensure adherence within the SEO team.
  • Assign SEO specialists and writers to clients as needed.
  • Support SEO specialists, web specialists, and writers with product training.
  • Run quarterly quality assurance (QA) reviews for all SEO clients.
  • Run timely QA and follow up for initial SEO strategies for new clients.
  • Direct assistance for SEO specialists in POAs for at-risk clients.
  • Ensure compliance with SEO and Web requests from clients.
  • Act as the first point of contact for SEO-related client escalations before they reach the Director.
  • Provide strategic input and guidance for key SEO accounts, ensuring campaigns follow best practices and drive client value.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the PPC Manager to align efforts on integrated client strategies.
  • Prepare internal performance reports for the SEO team to present in Fulfillment / Operations / Management meetings.
  • Mentor and support the professional growth of SEO team members by identifying development opportunities.
  • Participate in the hiring process for new team members by contributing to Product Knowledge assessments or participating in interviews.


Monthly KPIs

  • 100% of SEO clients meeting defined fulfillment goals:
    • 100% content pieces written and published.
    • 100% on-site optimizations completed.
    • 100% reports completed and shared with the client experience.
    • 100% of off-site deliverables requested and delivered.
    • 100% completion of SEO requests from clients.
    • 100% completion of POAs for clients at risk.
    • 100% new SEO strategies completed.
    • 100% tracking requests completed.
    • 100% of web requests completed.
  • 100% training certifications.
  • 100% timely QA documents across new SEO clients and ensuring 100% of recommendations were applied by the team members.
  • 100% QA documents across SEO clients (quarterly QA audits) and ensuring 100% of recommendations were applied by the team members.
  • 100% timely onboarding and readiness of new team members.
  • 100% of internal meetings led with a properly prepared agenda and follow-up emails:
    • Weekly SEO team meeting.
    • Monthly 1:1s with SEO team members.
    • Weekly meeting with Client Experience.
  • 100% of optimization notes and reports are coherent and easy to understand.
