Sensata Technologies is seeking a Senior Sales Director, Europe to lead commercial performance and customer engagement with key accounts within our Automotive Business Unit. The role is responsible for driving revenue, strengthening strategic customer relationships, and ensuring disciplined execution across the regional sales organization.
Operating in a market shaped by electrification, connectivity, and autonomy, the Senior Sales Director translates customer and market insights into clear commercial priorities and ensures consistent delivery against growth and profitability targets.
Success in this role is achieved through leading a high-performing, execution-focused team, building strong customer partnerships, and driving results through structured planning, forecasting discipline, and cross-functional alignment.

Commercial Strategy & Growth

  • Own and deliver regional revenue and growth targets, including annual operating plan, quarterly updates, and long-range planning.
  • Define and execute go-to-market strategies aligned with business priorities and customer needs.
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans and measurable commercial outcomes.
  • Drive performance management through structured business reviews and corrective actions.

 Customer & Account Leadership

  • Provide leadership for key accounts, including development and execution of account strategies and engagement models.
  • Build and maintain senior customer relationships, ensuring strong positioning and long-term partnerships.
  • Oversee opportunity management from pipeline creation through closure, ensuring robust qualification, value positioning, and risk management.

Sales Organization Leadership

  • Lead and develop the sales organization, including account managers and sales support resources.
  • Define and implement an effective sales structure (roles, territories, governance, and decision-making).
  • Establish a strong operating rhythm, including pipeline reviews, forecasting, and performance tracking.

Talent Development & Performance Culture

  • Build a high-performance culture by setting clear expectations and holding teams accountable for results.
  • Coach and develop team members, ensuring strong capability development and succession planning.
  • Ensure teams are equipped to respond to evolving market dynamics and customer procurement strategies.

Commercial Excellence & Execution

  • Ensure forecasting accuracy, pipeline health, and transparency of performance metrics.
  • Oversee priorities and incentive outcomes to drive alignment with strategic objectives and program closure.
  • Develop and implement training and enablement plans to enhance commercial effectiveness.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and Finance to align commercial strategy with business capabilities.
  • Support resolution of commercial escalations and ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to senior leadership discussions and represent the commercial organization in strategic forums.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in senior sales leadership roles with responsibility for revenue and business growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and execute strategic plans through teams.
  • Strong leadership capability with experience coaching and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including executive stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Preferred

  • Experience in complex, technical, or industrial sales environments.
  • Strong track record of managing key accounts and delivering sustained growth.
  • Experience working in a matrix and international organization.
