To join our team as a Senior Program Manager for the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Portfolio in Canada. This role can be remotely based in BC, but regular in-person travel is required to visit clients and team members in BC and other provinces (requires air travel), on average once per month.

Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of C&I for Canada, you will lead a portfolio of energy efficiency programs for clients across Canada. This role oversees a team of Program Managers and Operations staff that are responsible for all phases of program implementation, including cost management, performance tracking, client/customer satisfaction, and strategic initiatives. This role also has P&L responsibility for up to $20M. This role also supports some business development work and proposal responses.

This role works collaboratively with other functions (outreach, engineering, etc.) to lead the program execution. This role is responsible for client engagement strategy and ensuring all staff and programs in their portfolio are executing our contracts, leading the strategic direction of their programs, and ensuring financial performance of their programs. This role also leads all forecasting, tool development, and strategic initiatives in support of their portfolio.

  • Cultivate a collaborative team culture focused on achieving/exceeding annual targets established by our clients

  • Manage a portfolio of Energy Efficiency Programs with annual revenue of $5–20M (excluding incentives)

  • Lead contract execution, renewals, and amendments

  • Oversee program P&L reporting, KPI tracking, and performance-based compensation

  • Direct and coordinate multi-functional teams (10–30 people), including 4–7 direct reports

  • Serve as an escalation point for clients, developing deep relationships at senior levels with the clients' organizations

  • Coordinate with engineering and outreach teams to support program and client objectives and deliverables

  • Support process and tool improvements to enhance program delivery

  • Ensure accurate reporting and data management

In this exciting career opportunity, you will have…

  • 10+ years of project/program management experience, preferably in energy efficiency or utility programs

  • 5+ years of people management experience

  • Experience managing large-scale programs, preferably in the Commercial & Industrial sector

  • Experience managing P&L of at least $5M

  • Excellent communication, client management, and leadership skills

  • Ability to travel regularly (at least monthly) in Canada to the CLEAResult, Client office, or Customer Sites

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MS or MBA preferred

Targeted Salary

$130,000-$140,000

Canadian Commercial Driving Requirements

If applicable, meet all qualification, licensing, medical, and compliance requirements for commercial drivers under applicable provincial and territorial laws, the Canadian National Safety Code (NSC), and any federal regulations for extra‑provincial operations, including hours‑of‑service and safety fitness requirements.

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.
