The role involves building and managing the supply side of a court reporter marketplace by setting recruiting targets and designing scalable onboarding systems. You will partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Data teams to refine the provider value proposition and platform evolution.
Why the Provider Recruiting Team at Steno Is Different
- You own the network – This isn't a support role. You're building and managing the supply side of Steno's court reporter marketplace, market by market, shaping how Steno grows nationwide.
- Strategy meets execution – Set market-level recruiting targets, design the funnel, own the metrics, and stay close enough to the work to spot what's breaking before it becomes a problem.
- Build the playbook – From outbound sourcing to onboarding workflows, you're designing the systems that scale with Steno. The infrastructure for growing our provider network is yours to create.
- Become a genuine industry expert – You'll develop deep fluency in court reporting - certifications, job types, what reporters actually care about; and use that knowledge to build a value proposition that converts.
- Cross-functional and high-visibility – Partner with Marketing, Product, Ops, and Data to shape how Steno shows up to reporters and how our platform evolves to serve them.
You'll crush this role if you have 5+ years of experience at a high-volume staffing firm or a company with a two-sided marketplace, plus proven leadership and people management experience. You have a track record of owning and delivering against market-level recruiting targets - including planning, execution, and performance tracking. You have experience building full-cycle recruiting funnels from outbound sourcing through onboarding and activation. You're interpersonally savvy, build trust easily across diverse backgrounds, and can learn a new industry quickly and become fluent in its mechanics and language. You're persistent, adaptable, and quick to pivot when something isn't working.
