Senior Graphic Designer

NeoWork is seeking an experienced Senior Graphic Designer to join one of our client teams as a remote contractor. You will lead visual direction for the client’s own brand and a portfolio of the brands it serves, set the standard for design quality across every channel, and provide guidance to other designers on the team.

You will partner with the client’s marketing and production teams to turn business goals into compelling visual work, from campaign concepts and brand systems to social content, print collateral, and simple animated content.

Responsibilities

1. Creative Direction and Concept Development: Lead visual concepts for the client’s brand and the brands it serves, from brief to final delivery. Turn briefs and business goals into clear creative strategies for campaigns, product launches, and brand initiatives.
2. Brand Stewardship: Maintain and evolve the visual identity of each brand you support. Develop and apply brand guidelines and design systems so every touchpoint stays consistent.
3. Design Execution: Produce high-quality digital and print assets, including social media graphics, web visuals, ads, brochures, infographics, presentations, packaging, and event materials, optimized for each platform and device.
4. Design Leadership: Review the work of junior and mid-level designers and give clear, actionable feedback. Help establish design standards, workflows, and best practices for the creative team.
5. Collaboration: Work with marketing, production, and client stakeholders to define project requirements, present concepts, and defend design decisions. Manage feedback and drive projects to approval.
6. Basic Animation and Video Support: Create GIFs, simple animated social assets, and basic short-form videos, keeping styling consistent with static work.
7. Project Management and Quality Control: Manage multiple projects and deadlines without compromising quality. Review all outgoing creative for accuracy and brand alignment, and keep the design asset library and file naming organized.

How the Work Runs

This role is project-driven. Work is organized around deliverables and deadlines, with regular coordination alongside the marketing and production teams to align on weekly priorities. Typical work includes:

• Design work: Build campaign concepts, social graphics, and other assets across the brands you support.
• Team support: Review junior designers’ work and give feedback.
• Quick-turn content: Produce GIFs and short videos for social.
• Quality control: Run final checks, export assets to each platform’s specs, and keep the asset library organized.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in a creative agency, marketing team, or in-house brand team.
• A strong portfolio showing brand identity work, campaign design, and a range of digital and print projects you led end to end.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), plus working knowledge of Figma and Canva.
• Ability to create GIFs and basic videos using tools such as CapCut or Premiere Pro.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, ChatGPT) to speed up ideation and production while keeping work on-brand.
• Deep understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, layout, and visual storytelling.
• Experience creating and maintaining brand guidelines or design systems.
• Experience mentoring designers and giving constructive feedback.
• Strong knowledge of social media, digital ad formats, and print specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and time management, with the ability to manage multiple brands and deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, including presenting and defending concepts to clients and stakeholders and iterating quickly on feedback.

Nice to Have

• Experience with UI/UX or web design.
• Experience building AI-assisted design workflows or templates for a creative team.
• Photography or art direction experience on photo and video shoots.
• Experience managing print vendors and production timelines.
