Senior Data Analyst (Senior Consultant, Data & Analytics)
We are seeking a Data Analyst as part of our Senior Consultant, Data & Analytics career path to lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of web analytics solutions. This role will work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and business stakeholders to develop measurement strategies, implement analytics tracking, validate data quality, and deliver actionable insights that support product and business objectives. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in evolving environments, building analytics capabilities from the ground up, and balancing meaningful analytics with privacy and compliance requirements. This position is primarily remote, with occasional travel or onsite meetings based on business needs.

This role will possess the necessary skills at an advanced level of proficiency to drive organizational transformation by architecting scalable data platforms, building advanced machine learning solutions, and mentoring customers and teams to become data-driven organizations. The role involves working with executives, project teams, and internal leaders across departments to identify opportunities where data can accelerate missions, create efficiencies, and deliver technical excellence.
Your Responsibilities in this Role:
● Configure, administer, and optimize Matomo Analytics, including goals, events, custom dimensions, segments, dashboards, and reporting.
● Configure and support Google Analytics 4 and tag management platforms, including Google Tag Manager and Matomo Tag Manager.
● Develop measurement strategies that align analytics with business and product objectives.
● Define key performance indicators, success metrics, reporting frameworks, and tracking plans.
● Translate business questions into measurable analytics requirements.
● Implement, validate, and troubleshoot analytics tracking across web applications.
● Partner with engineering teams to resolve analytics implementation and data quality issues.
● Develop dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for stakeholders.
● Create analytics documentation, tracking specifications, and implementation standards.
● Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, and business stakeholders throughout implementation.
● Apply privacy, consent management, and analytics best practices throughout the analytics lifecycle.

PROJECT SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
● Minimum of 5 years of experience in web analytics, analytics implementation, or related data analysis roles.
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
● Proven experience configuring, administering, and optimizing Matomo Analytics, including goals, events, custom dimensions, segments, dashboards, and reporting.
● Experience configuring Google Analytics 4.
● Experience working with Google Tag Manager, Matomo Tag Manager, or similar tag management platforms.
● Experience developing measurement strategies that align analytics with business and product objectives.
● Experience defining key performance indicators, success metrics, reporting frameworks, and tracking plans.
● Experience translating business questions into measurable analytics requirements.
● Experience implementing and validating analytics tracking across web applications.
● Experience troubleshooting analytics implementations and validating data quality.
● Experience partnering with engineering teams to resolve implementation issues.
● Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in Agile delivery environments.
● Understanding of data privacy principles, consent management, and analytics best practices within regulated environments.
Preferred Experience
● Experience administering self-hosted or on-premises Matomo environments.
● Experience exporting raw analytics data or using Matomo APIs to build custom reports, dashboards, or integrations.
● Experience using SQL, spreadsheets, or business intelligence tools to perform advanced data analysis.
● Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to support analytics implementation, event tracking validation, and troubleshooting.
● Experience establishing analytics processes and implementation standards in greenfield environments.
● Experience supporting government, healthcare, civic technology, or other regulated industries.

The salary range for this position is:
Minimum Salary: $120,588
Salary Midpoint: $156,764
Maximum Salary: $195,955
Hiring Range for Role: $120,588 - $141,000
*This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance criteria.
