About the Role
Our client is an established international technology company developing advanced electronic components and embedded solutions for demanding industrial and commercial applications.
We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to drive new revenue, develop strategic accounts, and manage complex technical sales opportunities. The role combines market development, design-in sales, channel management, and commercial negotiation, working closely with engineering, product, quality, legal, and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies across assigned markets and product areas.
- Identify new customers, applications, and commercial opportunities.
- Build a qualified pipeline and secure strategic design wins.
- Manage complex sales cycles from first contact through commercial agreement.
- Develop relationships with engineering, procurement, and executive stakeholders.
- Coordinate distributors, representatives, and external sales partners.
- Translate customer requirements into relevant technical and commercial proposals.
- Lead pricing, contract, and development-agreement negotiations.
- Provide market and competitor insights to product and engineering teams.
- Support customers from early evaluation through production readiness.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in technical sales or business development.
- Experience selling advanced electronics, embedded products, components, or comparable technical solutions.
- Strong understanding of complex B2B technology sales.
- Proven success managing long sales cycles and winning new business.
- Experience working with distributors, representatives, or indirect sales channels.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Professional fluency in English.
- Availability to work on-site in Switzerland and travel regularly.
