Job Details

The Ideal candidate should possess a strong academic record and excellent written and oral communication skills, with 7+ years of experience in estate planning, tax planning, and trust and estate administration. Experience in asset protection planning and charitable giving is a plus. Ideally, the candidate would have prior experience working directly with high net-worth individuals and families and their advisors on tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies, including transfer of closely held business interests. Equally important is the ability to manage a preexisting volume practice while working alongside a team of skilled professionals.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide expert legal advice on estate planning, trust administration, tax planning, asset protection, and charitable giving.
2. Draft, review, and revise a wide variety of legal documents related to trusts and estates, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
3. Represent clients in probate and trust administration matters.
4. Provide tax planning advice and strategies to clients to minimize estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes.
5. Develop and implement asset protection plans for clients.
6. Advise clients on charitable giving strategies and prepare necessary legal documents.
7. Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues related to trusts and estates.
8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, and work closely with them to understand their estate planning needs and objectives.
9. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be licensed to practice law in the state.
3. Minimum of 6 years of experience as an attorney specializing in trusts and estates.
4. Extensive knowledge of laws and regulations related to estate planning, trust administration, tax planning, asset protection, and charitable giving.
5. Must have a deep understanding of tax laws and strategies related to estate planning and asset protection.
