Position Overview

Zema Global is hiring a Senior Accountant to own month-end accruals, AP, fixed assets, payroll journals, allocations, and intercompany accounting across our growing, multi-entity company. This role will be formative in creating best-in-class processes that scale as the business expands. We need someone who has built processes and systems and has real experience navigating periods of significant change and growth.

You’ll be a key hire in a finance function being rebuilt from the ground up, with real ownership over how the day-to-day work gets done across a growing, multi-entity company.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own monthly/quarterly accruals and general ledger accounting across the U.S., Canada, UK, and other entities.

• Manage accounts payable processes and vendor relationships.

• Own fixed assets accounting: additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules in NetSuite.

• Own prepaid expense schedules and amortization.

• Own intercompany accounting and allocations.

• Maintain R&D capitalization schedules.

• Support the monthly close process alongside the Accounting Manager.

• Take on ad hoc general accounting projects, including integrating newly acquired entities into GL processes.

• Mentor and guide AP support staff as the team builds out.

• Embrace AI tools like Claude into your day-to-day workflow.

What You'll Bring

Essential

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar.

• 6-8 years of progressive general accounting experience.

• Hands-on NetSuite experience.

• Experience working with AP automation platforms such as Ramp, Brex, Concur or similar.

• Solid AP process experience, including corporate cards and employee reimbursements.

• Experience with fixed assets, prepaids, accruals and intercompany accounting.

• Experience operating across multiple countries/currencies.

• A track record of building process through real organizational change and growth.

• Experience leading at least 1 direct report.

Desirable

• CPA.

• Prior experience in a PE-backed or actively acquisitive company.

• Experience implementing or transitioning AP automation tools.
