Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the majority of the accounting and finance tasks associated with producing financial statements for the Reliant / Cost Containment business unit and will report directly to the VP of Finance – Cost Containment. This includes, but is not limited to, monthly close activities, invoicing, and audit support.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Primarily responsible for the monthly close process, which includes but is not limited to:
• Calculating & posting monthly revenue and commissions
• Coordinating with central finance team to ensure other COGS and operating expenses are correctly recorded.
• Flux / trend analysis vs. prior periods
• Post cash activity on a daily or semi daily basis
• Issue monthly invoices
• Cash application and monitoring of accounts receivable
• Bank and GL account reconciliation
• Annual audit support
• FP&A and other broader corporate finance tasks
• Other tasks as determined by VP of Finance

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of public accounting experience OR of private company accounting experience with full financial statement responsibilities preferred
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, technical accounting standards, and financial reporting
• Strong technical accounting skills, including interpreting and applying complex accounting guidance.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
• Collaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance required, CPA preferred
• Experience with Sage Intacct or other financial reporting tools preferred
• Prior Healthcare industry experience preferred
