The Segment Marketing Manager drives marketing strategy for assigned segments by identifying growth opportunities and managing brand positioning. They lead product launches, oversee campaign execution, and manage segment-level budgets and performance metrics.
Overview
The Segment Marketing Manager drives the marketing strategy for one or more assigned Alliance Laundry Systems segments in partnership with business unit leaders. Using CRM data, market research, and competitive intelligence, they identify growth opportunities, own segment brand positioning and value proposition, and lead the strategy behind product launches, campaigns, and channel planning for their segment(s). They define and track segment-level KPIs, manage segment marketing budget/P&L, and continuously optimize marketing spend based on performance. They partner closely with Marketing Services to brief priorities and align execution, and stay current on market trends, consumer behavior, and competitors' programs within their assigned segment(s). The ideal candidate would work remotely and be based in the midwest or southeast of the United Statest.
Responsibilities
Segment Strategy & Brand Positioning
- Use CRM tools, data analytics, and market research to identify growth opportunities, buyer trends, and unmet customer needs within assigned market segment(s)
- Monitor market trends, consumer/customer behavior, and competitors' programs within assigned segment(s); translate insights into actionable positioning and content strategy; actively track and share relevant industry news
- Own the brand value proposition for assigned segment(s); continuously strengthen the offering and drive external and internal market positioning, communication, and branding
- Develop and ensure implementation of industry-specific strategy and product positioning for assigned segment(s), including positioning against competitive products
- Own segment-level go-to-market plans and sales enablement content, aligned to commercial priorities
- Build seasonal and annual strategies informed by customer, market, and industry insights, in partnership with content/creative, aligned to brand, campaign, and customer goals
Product Launch & Campaign Leadership
- Lead the marketing product launches tailored to assigned segment(s), including public-facing assets, messaging architecture, and channel strategy
- Develop and execute planning, implementation, and evaluation of campaigns, programs, promotions, and product launches to new and existing customers, leveraging company resources to achieve annual sales, market share, and profitability objectives
- Partner with content/creative and digital/CRM teams to brief priorities, provide segment context, and align on asset execution
Channel Planning & Budget Management
- Own channel planning and media strategy for assigned segment(s) across owned, paid, and earned channels; set hypotheses, budgets, and success metrics; negotiate added-value opportunities with vendors and partners
- Manage the segment marketing budget/P&L, ensuring projects and campaigns stay within budget and collaborating with Finance/Leadership on forecasts
Performance Measurement & Optimization
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for each assigned segment
- Continuously measure ROI and optimize marketing spend based on analytics
- Monitor marketing activity metrics/KPIs against plan, implementing course corrections based on program performance
Customer & Relationship Engagement
- Work with customers, distributors, and dealers to create case studies and customer success stories
- Develop relationships within the business to anticipate perceptions, manage challenges, and maximize market opportunity
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree with a marketing or business-related major required; a combination of equivalent experience and education will be considered
- At least 6 years of marketing experience with expertise in strategy roles required
- previous budgeting experience required
- Experience with Salesforce a plus

- Systems proficient, particularly in MS Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint), CRM platforms, data analytics/reporting tools, marketing automation tools, and email marketing
- Proficient with AI-assisted marketing and research tools; able to evaluate AI outputs and apply sound judgment before use
Travel
- Approximately 25%; Ability to travel as needed or segment priorities require
Standard and Physical Requirements
- Position involves sitting long periods, standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending and minimal lifting.
