About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Sales Representative to join a leading commercial printing organization. We are looking for a sales professional with a strong background in the commercial printing industry and an established, portable book of business. This individual will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, managing key client relationships, and expanding market presence by offering comprehensive print, direct mail, fulfillment, packaging, and marketing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and existing industry relationships.
- Leverage an existing portable book of business to generate immediate revenue growth.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with commercial clients across multiple industries.
- Identify customer needs and recommend customized print, direct mail, fulfillment, packaging, and marketing solutions.
- Prepare proposals, pricing, and presentations while negotiating contracts and closing profitable business.
- Collaborate with production, customer service, and project management teams to ensure projects are delivered accurately and on schedule.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting through implementation and ongoing account management.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals.
- Maintain accurate sales activity and pipeline reporting within the company's CRM.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and emerging printing technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling integrated print and marketing solutions.
- Knowledge of variable data printing (VDP), mailing services, fulfillment operations, packaging, and large-format graphics.
- Existing relationships with marketing agencies, manufacturers, healthcare organizations, educational institutions, financial services, nonprofit organizations, or government agencies.
Requirements
5+ years of outside B2B sales experience within the commercial printing industry.
Proven success selling commercial print, direct mail, large-format printing, fulfillment, packaging, or related print solutions.
Existing portable book of business with demonstrated ability to transition client relationships.
Strong understanding of offset printing, digital printing, direct mail, finishing, fulfillment, and print production processes.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated with a hunter mentality and strong closing ability.
Experience managing multiple client accounts and sales opportunities simultaneously.
Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, or similar.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the assigned territory.
