This highly motivated individual, as part of the Superior Boiler brand under the Watts Applied Solutions platform, will be responsible for the growth of our sales through our Rep channel network.

This position is responsible for supervision of the Rep sales channel, as well as the inside sales channel sales team. 

This position reports to General Manager, Superior Boiler. This role is remote and is based in the United States.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the development and execution of strategic sales plans for assigned brands and product lines.
  • Partner with peer Sales Directors to establish clear sales goals and performance expectations for the sales organization.
  • Motivate and energize the sales team by fostering a high-performance culture and driving innovative sales strategies.
  • Develop and implement a Manufacturing Representative performance measurement system to evaluate and improve channel effectiveness.
  • Establish and maintain feedback loops between the field, channel partners, and internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide market intelligence and field insights to Marketing to inform pricing, product placement, and promotional strategies.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to define and execute product line sales priorities based on market trends and customer needs.
  • Support the development and enhancement of sales tools, including presentations, plant tours, and trade show materials.
  • Represent the company externally at trade associations, industry events, and customer engagements to promote products and brand awareness.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives, including product development efforts and strategic product line expansion.
  • Direct the development, implementation, and management of sales programs and budgets to achieve sales and profitability objectives.
  • Analyze sales performance reports, including sales volume and pipeline data, to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Take proactive corrective actions to optimize performance and respond to changing market conditions.
  • Coordinate territory alignment, quotas, and sales goals with internal teams and external channel partners.
  • Manage departmental expenditures to align with budgetary targets and financial objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop direct reports to enhance performance, capability, and succession readiness.
  • Contribute to the development of infrastructure supporting Engineered Solutions, including Applications Engineering, Customer Relations, Technical Service Engineering, and Order Processing/Contract Administration.
  • Maintain working knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, materials, and operational techniques to support effective sales execution.
  • Travel Requirements: 40-60%

Required Qualifications

  • Administration, Engineering, or related Bachelor’s degree.
  • 7+ years’ experience in sales/customer serving environments.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC and Plumbing industries.
  • Extensive experience for a similarly-sized sales organization within a product company.
  • Proven ability to negotiate complex and strategic contracts.
  • A strong blend of analytical, decision making and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales leadership, negotiation, and project management.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a global, matrixed environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Superior Boiler brand and its product offerings.

Working Conditions:

While performing the job duties, you will be working remotely in an office environment. You may be required to occasionally travel to and work in the office at the Hutchinson, KS location for meetings, trainings, or as otherwise required by Company management.
