You will build an outbound sales engine by identifying and qualifying prospects through cold calling, email, and LinkedIn outreach. You will manage your own pipeline and collaborate with Account Executives to convert qualified leads into meetings.
We’re hiring Sales Development Representatives to build Collateral Partners’ outbound engine in North America. You’ll start conversations with founders, CFOs and investment partners, and turn them into qualified meetings for our Account Executives.
Collateral Partners is a strategic communications platform built by finance professionals, investors and operators to maximize enterprise value. We partner with 400+ investment firms, asset managers, advisory firms and financial platforms to navigate the moments that matter most: raising capital, executing transactions, scaling platforms, communicating with investors, and strengthening market confidence and trust.
Our work brings financial intelligence and creative influence together inside a single curated platform. Corporate communications, financial communications, and brand and digital execution operate as one connected system, designed to strengthen credibility, conviction and enterprise value across every external touchpoint.
Until now, our growth has come mostly from inbound, referrals and expanding existing accounts. We’re now building an outbound engine from the ground up, and you’d be one of the first SDRs on it.
You’ll open conversations with private equity firms, venture-backed companies and real estate operators who don’t know us yet. You’ll be one of our first SDR hires as we build out the sales engine. You’ll learn the playbook from an experienced sales leader and have real room to grow as the team scales.
This isn’t volume dialling. Every call, email and message is researched and tied to a reason to talk now, like a fresh raise, an acquisition or a new fund. The phone is still at the centre of it, because the best conversations with senior people start with a well-prepared call.
Own outbound into a defined sector (PE-backed companies, venture-backed companies at Series B and above, or real estate) across phone, email, LinkedIn and video.
Cold call as part of your daily rhythm. A well-prepared call is often the quickest way to a real conversation with a busy executive, and we’ll coach you to get great at it.
Research accounts and act fast on buying signals like new funding, acquisitions, platform investments and roll-ups, so every message has a reason behind it and sounds credible to a CFO, GP or managing partner.
Qualify each prospect by finding out what they’re working on, when, and who decides, so your AE walks into a real opportunity.
Build a pipeline that keeps you ahead of your monthly meeting target, not catching up to it.
Stay with the deals you source: bring more stakeholders into open opportunities and help the AE keep momentum.
Build your own presence on LinkedIn, sharing Collateral Partners’ point of view with the finance audience you’re calling into.
Work in our CRM and sales tools, and keep them accurate. Your data is how we learn which sectors and signals work.
Share what you hear on calls so the playbook gets sharper every month.
We hire for drive and credibility over a perfect CV. A finance background is a big plus, though it isn’t required. Either way, you’ll need to learn the language quickly and hold your own with senior people.
Ideally a year or more of outbound sales or business development
A proven salesperson who’s confident on cold calls and enjoys talking to senior executives.
Business curiosity: you want to understand a client’s raise, deal or market well enough to be seen as a partner, not a vendor.
You run your own day. You’re sharp and self-directed, you thrive working remotely, and you take ownership of your targets, with regular check-ins to support you.
You take things all the way.
You own your story, including the misses.
Clear, confident spoken and written English, with the presence to hold your own with senior stakeholders.
Coachable and quick to act on feedback.
SDR or BDR experience at a company that sells into finance, such as a financial data, fintech or financial services business.
Familiarity with private equity, venture capital, M&A or fundraising terms.
Experience with a CRM and modern prospecting tools, or the drive to learn them fast.
