About the Role:
Position is primarily responsible for extracting insights from vast amount of data through statistical and analytical techniques that detect patterns and trends. Also collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and help them develop tools for collection, organizing and analyzing information. Gather data from primary and secondary sources and clean it to ensure accuracy and remove errors or duplicates. Position is primarily responsible for performing monthly account reconciliations and general ledger activities. Position is also responsible for preparing the monthly reconciliation for all GH Accounts Receivable Accounts in the PCC billing system to the general ledger accounts. Position works closely with the AR Coordinators and is responsible for preparing the monthly resident statements, filing of medical claims and monitoring of delinquent accounts. Position works closely with the Controller.
This is a remote role. Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
The pay is: $105k-$120k
Job Duties:
- Creating reports: Both for internal teams and external stakeholders. Collaborating with team members to collect and analyze data.
- Date collection & Cleaning: Gather data from primary sources and clean it to ensure accuracy and remove errors or duplicates.
- Date modeling & Analysis: Use Statistical techniques to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or pattern in complex data set.
- Visualization & Reporting: Use tools like tableau to present findings to AR Manager. Structuring large data sets to find usable information.
- Prepares monthly resident statements and ensures that monthly payments and reimbursement entries are correctly posted to individual accounts. Reconciles the monthly fee accounts to the appropriate general ledger accounts. 6 Runs monthly census reports to determine new admissions for all levels of care (Assisted Living, Independent Living and Health Care). Reconcile monthly census in AOD to Excel spreadsheet.
- Tracks new contract information to be sure billing is in receipt of all Insurance information; the information should include copies of the primary and secondary insurance cards which can be passed on to the Medical Claims Coordinator.
- Enters and/or imports various charges into the billing software for medical supplies, pharmacy, dining and resident services as required.
- Oversees or directs the posting of GHA & GHAH cash receipts into the billing software on a weekly basis and reconciles the cash receipt log to the monthly billing register.
- Follows up on delinquent accounts, attempts to collect, and forwards accounts to supervisor for further action as outlined in the collection procedure.
- Oversees the monthly census activity to determine new admissions for all levels of care (Assisted Living, Residential Living, and Health Care). Reviews and signs off on the monthly census reconciliation in PCC to Excel spreadsheet.
- Reviews new contract information to determine that residents are setup with the correct plan on the correct date and to be sure the billing staff are in receipt of all insurance information.
- Monitors delinquent accounts and provides monthly reports to the Chief of Operations and the Executive Directors. Follows up with staff on delinquent accounts on a weekly or as needed basis and forwards accounts to supervisor for further action as outlined in the collection procedure.
- Oversees and assist with the filing of medical claims (Medicare, Medicaid and Insurance). Prepares written appeals when justified.
- Provides monthly and annual Medicare and Medicaid PPS Logs and Medicare Coinsurance Reports. These reports will be used for the annual Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports (GHA & GHBC Cost Reports).
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree preferred in Accounting, Business or Health Care.
- Minimum of five years' of experience in revenue management, finance, or analytical roles, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong ability to manipulate data, compute mathematical calculations, and identify revenue shortfalls.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work task, and meet required deadlines.
- Must have an intermediate skill level with Microsoft Word and Excel. Proficiency in NetSuite and PCC preferred.
- Ability to communicate and work professionally with peers.
- Ability to complete work thoroughly and accurately, utilizing approved systems of checks and balances
