Renewals Manager

Summary:

Anaconda is looking for a Renewals Manager to own customer retention and expansion for a named book of accounts. You'll work closely with Account Executives, Technical Customer Success Managers, and cross-functional partners to ensure customers see continuous value in our Python-focused AI platform, long before renewal conversations begin. This role is critical to our growth as we scale from a data science tool to an end-to-end AI development platform, and you'll help build the processes and playbooks that define how we serve customers at scale. This is an excellent opportunity for you to leverage your experience and skills and apply it to the world of data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Ideally, you're based in Pacific or Mountain Time Zone, which helps with geographic coverage and APAC collaboration.

What You'll Do:

• Own gross revenue retention and logo retention for a book of accounts
• Engage customers 120-150 days before renewal to build value-driven conversations around product usage, success plans, and business outcomes
• Partner regularly with Account Executives to review renewal pipeline, identify expansion opportunities, and coordinate on upsell strategies
• Analyze customer health scores and usage data to proactively address churn risk and uncover growth potential
• Lead renewal processes across Sales, Finance, and Legal; ensuring on-time completion and smooth handoffs
• Build and refine engagement frameworks and automation strategies that scale across account segments
• Present renewal insights and pipeline updates to senior leadership with clarity and confidence

Your Impact Will Be Measured Through:

• Gross revenue retention (GRR) and logo retention rates across your book
• ARR retention - maintaining or expanding annual recurring revenue
• On-time renewal completion and churn reduction
• Expansion revenue identified and qualified through proactive engagement
• Customer lifetime value contribution through strategic account planning

What You Need:

• 3+ years in renewals, customer success, or account management at a B2B technology company
• Experience managing customer renewals and retention in a sales-adjacent or quota-carrying role
• Proficiency with CRM and customer success platforms (Salesforce, Vitally, or similar tools)
• Technical fluency; able to discuss programming, developer workflows, and AI use cases with technical buyers
• Daily use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) for automating reports, generating insights, or streamlining workflows
• Strong presentation skills; comfortable building decks and presenting to executive audiences without relying on script
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, pivot quickly, and thrive in fast-changing environments

The US base salary range for this role is $74,000 - $107,500 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed in each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations.

Within the range, individual compensation is determined by various factors, including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter will provide more specific details on the salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
