About the Role
We are seeking a motivated sales professional to develop new group and event business for the hotel. This role focuses on prospecting, building client relationships, and converting opportunities into booked room nights, meetings, and events.

Remote Note

While this position is remote, candidates must reside in Oregon or have extensive prior experience working and building business relationships within the Oregon hospitality and events market. 

The Sales Manager is responsible for optimizing revenue, maximizing sales opportunities consistent with the Hotel's business plan; accurately forecasting revenue and expenses, and efficiently managing sales activities through coordination with clients and operational departments.

Responsibilities

  • Achieves assigned sales call goals, room night production, and/or booking pace goals 
  • Assists in developing strategies to positively impact RevPAR growth 
  • Understands market conditions and impact on RevPAR Index growth 

Qualifications

  • Experience selling guest rooms, meetings, conferences, weddings, or group events in a hotel, resort, conference center, or destination venue preferred.
  • Ability to identify and cultivate opportunities across corporate, association, government, SMERF, and tour & travel segments.
  • Demonstrated success generating room nights, meeting bookings, and banquet revenue through proactive sales efforts.
