Kentro is hiring for a Project Manager to support the VA ESOM. Kentro is seeking a highly disciplined, senior-level Project Manager to lead a large-scale Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) facility management initiative. The ideal candidate brings extensive senior organizational leadership and direct delivery execution experience. Rather than serving as a technical architect, this leader will protect operational continuity, turn competing facilities and managed-service needs into a funded, sequenced delivery plan, and give client leadership clear choices when access, data, or decisions delay progress. 

Location: Remote - This position can be performed remotely within the United States and will support Eastern Time working hours.

Compensation Range: The pay range for this position is $160-$180K annually. Kentro determines compensation by evaluating current government contracting and commercial market conditions, as well as the role’s specific requirements. Final salary placement within this range will be based on the candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education, certifications, location, and security clearance level, where applicable.

Program & Delivery Execution

• Lead the Kentro team sustaining and extending the VBA's deployed facility management environment, driving work through client-approved requirements, data ownership, and release controls.
• Maintain the integrated schedule, staffing forecast, annual operating plan, and cost-to-complete.
• Distinguish funded work from proposed changes and clearly identify dependencies outside Kentro’s control.
• Run backlog, risk, issue, and decision reviews with named owners and due dates, documenting the impact of unanswered decisions and escalating through agreed governance channels.
• Lead readiness and acceptance reviews for data loads, releases, site cohorts, and transition to sustainment, obtaining traceable evidence for all client decisions.
• Protect the 90-day metric-baselining process and monthly performance reviews, reporting unresolved defects, aging work, and provider-attribution limitations honestly.

Operational Leadership

• Provide decisive, cross-functional leadership to resolve workload conflicts across facilities, reporting, and managed services without bypassing change control.
• Coordinate onboarding, suitability, equipment, access, and phased assignments to ensure authorized personnel arrive only when productive work is ready.
• Manage cross-training, succession planning, and knowledge transfer to sustain team readiness.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for executive government stakeholders, building strong client relationships to ensure successful service delivery.
• Coordinate scope and contractual matters strictly through authorized CO/COR channels, ensuring informal stakeholder direction is never treated as authority to change contract terms.
• Communicate program status, risks, and outcomes effectively to executive leadership, providing decision-ready options when faced with uncertain requirements.
• Support business development activities and partner with leadership to expand service offerings.

•  Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business management, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related discipline).
• 10+ years of experience in program or project management within IT or Facility Management.
• Demonstrated ownership of schedule, staffing, and financial forecasts, with a proven track record of recovering delayed service-delivery programs.
• Ability to separate service outcomes from project activity and challenge unsupported status claims using concrete evidence
• Experience coordinating government officials, technical teams, subcontractors, and vendors with differing authorities.
• Exceptional executive communication, facilitation, and follow-through.

 Preferred Qualifications:  

• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent demonstrated program-delivery discipline.
• Federal civilian contract delivery experience, particularly within VA/VBA or environment.
• Experience controlling phased rollouts, hypercare, and transition-to-operations exit criteria.
• Facilities-service portfolio experience.
• Agile delivery and IT service management knowledge, with evidence of effective use rather than certification alone.

• US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card)
• Willing and able to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance
