- The successful candidate will be eligible for a company vehicle, and while not traveling will work out of their home office.
- The compensation range for this role is $100,000- $130,000, in addition to KENT standard benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k). Final compensation is subject to variation based on the candidate's skills, job responsibilities, location and other pertinent factors.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies that support growth, profitability, and key performance objectives.
- Identify, secure, and expand business opportunities with pet specialty distributors, retailers, and prospective accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributor partners and retail customers across the assigned region.
- Conduct regular in-person customer visits, participate in account reviews, and support category management initiatives.
- Lead sales training, product launches, and field coaching with distributor sales teams to drive execution and brand advocacy.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, distributor events, and consumer-facing events to strengthen market presence.
- Collaborate with Division Leadership, Sales Development Managers, and Brokers to align regional strategies and support business development efforts.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and timely reporting of sales activities, market insights, call reports, expenses, and mileage while identifying opportunities to influence regional growth and go-to-market strategies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5 or more years of experience in a related field
- Experience developing sales plans, managing sales activity, and tracking performance against goals preferred.
- Experience managing distributor, retail, or key account relationships preferred.
- Experience supporting product training, field execution, trade shows, or customer-facing events preferred.
- Pet specialty, consumer products, or related industry experience preferred.
TRAVEL
- Weekly travel is expected to visit accounts for support, training, and new product information. Additional travel will be required to identify and connect untapped markets to the distribution network.
