What You Will Contribute:

The Regional Sales Manager (Southern Europe) is responsible for achieving revenue and margin targets through direct sales and channel partners in the focus countries Portugal, Italy, Greece and Malta. In support of corporate strategic goals, the Regional Sales Manager will develop and implement an annual regional sales plan. The Regional Sales Manager is expected to adhere to all company policies and procedures.


The Regional Sales Manager is tasked with building meaningful relationships with existing and new customers, while focusing on market demands and providing proactively solutions.  This role will make visits to established and new potential accounts for the purpose of securing sales and growing Badger Meter market share within an assigned territory across product lines.  This position will also provide support for sales partners and end customers (B2B).


Job Duties:

  • Build relationships with existing and new customers by understanding their businesses and proactively provide solutions as well as establish new business potentials
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.
  • Lead Badger Meters sales effort within defined target markets to achieve and exceed sales targets and objective
  • Assess and develop Key Accounts, channel partners
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and preferences.
  • Increase brand awareness by improving communication with end users and channel partners in collaboration with the company’s corporate marketing.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting open communication, accountability, and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Work with the team to achieve individual and team sales targets, monitor progress, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify new business opportunities and market trends to capitalize on growth opportunities which you track in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and other departments such as After Sales Support and/or Technical Sales Support etc. to optimize sales strategies and enhance the customer experience.
  • Analyze sales data and metrics to track performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions (CRM, Microstrategy, ERP).
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices in sales and sales leadership.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of trade fairs and events
  • Conduct consultative conversations with clients in terms of quality management, late payments etc.
  • Conduct technical and commercial negotiations
  • Handle customer complaints together with support team

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree required, preferable in Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechatronics, Automation Technology, Environmental Engineering or related fields 
  • 10 years or more of professional experience in a similar role

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English
  • Preferably experience and detailed knowledge in Municipal Water, Flow Instrumentation, and/or Water Quality Instrumentation and associated solutions.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office and CRM software
  • Self-motivated, tenacious individual with excellent communication skills who brings “can do” motivation to work every day

  • Travel required 50%

Additional Information:

  • Salary: We follow the Collective Agreement for the Metal Industry (valid from 1 Jan 2026). The minimum full‑time gross salary is € 5477 with the possibility of additional overpayment based on experience and qualifications.
