Brands Covered: GWM, Renault, KGM, Xpeng
Territory: Barbados, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, and other Caribbean markets served by Caribbean Automotive Retailers and its independent dealer network
Job Summary
Assumes responsibility for brand strategy, product positioning, and pricing across the GWM, Renault, KGM and Xpeng brands throughout the Caribbean. Leads product information development, competitive and market intelligence, and OEM partner relationships to drive brand equity, margin performance, and sales enablement across the region's company-owned and independent dealer networks. Works in close partnership with the Regional Sales Manager to translate brand strategy into dealer level execution.
Objectives of this Role
- Design and own brand strategy and product positioning for GWM, Renault, KGM and Xpeng across all Caribbean markets
- Set and monitor pricing strategy and margin targets for each brand
- Build and maintain accurate, up-to-date product information and technical documentation
- Track brand performance, market share, and competitive dynamics across territories
- Serve as the primary point of contact for OEM partners on brand and product matters
- Equip the sales and dealer network with the product knowledge and materials needed to sell effectively
- Prepare regular brand performance reports for the CMO and senior management
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Management
- Monitor brand performance metrics and market share for each brand across regional markets
- Collaborate with OEM partners to align local strategies with global brand direction
- Manage brand positioning and messaging to ensure consistency across all Caribbean markets
- Coordinate model line-up planning and new model launch timing with OEM partners and dealers
Product Information Development
- Create and maintain comprehensive product databases including specifications, features, and technical documentation for each brand
- Develop product training materials and sales tools for the sales team and dealer network
- Coordinate with manufacturers to ensure accurate and timely product information updates
- Partner with the Regional Sales Manager to roll out product training to dealership sales staff
Pricing Strategy & Management
- Develop competitive pricing strategies based on market analysis and regional economic factors
- Monitor competitor pricing across Caribbean markets and recommend adjustments
- Set recommended retail pricing and monitor margin performance by brand and market
- Review pricing impact of duties, freight, and currency fluctuations across territories
Market Analysis & Intelligence
- Conduct regular market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats
- Prepare detailed market reports and brand performance analytics
- Track customer preferences and buying patterns across different Caribbean markets
- Provide insights to inform product mix and inventory planning decisions in partnership with the Regional Sales Manager
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with OEM partners, dealers, and internal teams to ensure seamless brand execution
- Present brand performance and strategy updates to the CMO and senior management
- Coordinate with marketing teams on promotional campaigns and brand communications
- Support the Regional Sales Manager and dealer sales teams with product knowledge and competitive positioning
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with the Regional Sales Manager to align brand strategy with dealer-level sales execution
- Provide input into inventory planning and allocation across the dealer network
- Collaborate on joint reporting to the CMO covering both brand and sales performance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years' experience in brand or product management, preferably in automotive or distribution
- Strong analytical skills with experience in pricing strategy and market analysis
- Excellent understanding of Caribbean market dynamics and cultural nuances
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and CRM systems
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple brands simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field
- Previous experience in the automotive industry or parts distribution
- Knowledge of multiple Caribbean markets and regulatory requirements
- Experience with automotive OEM partnerships
- Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish or English/French)
