Overview

As a key member of the management team, the Regional Finance Director at Oak View Group in the Hospitality division, you will report to the Vice President of Finance Operations. In this role, you will be at the forefront of driving financial excellence across 10-12 venues within your designated region. Collaborating closely with various departments, you'll provide invaluable financial insights to support broader organizational goals.

Your leadership will be instrumental in developing and guiding Area Finance Managers and General Managers (GMs) in budgeting, financial planning, and compliance activities, ensuring operational excellence across the region. Additionally, you will lead the hiring, onboarding, and performance management of the field finance team, ensuring their professional development and alignment with the region's objectives.

The Regional Finance Director must be detail-oriented and have a passion for rolling up his/her sleeves.

This role will pay a salary of $100,000 to $115,000.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the hiring, onboarding, and performance management of the field finance team, ensuring their professional development and growth.
  • Evaluate processes and procedures to gain efficiencies and cost savings by driving continuous improvement; utilizing standardization, simplification, and automation when possible.
  • Administer policies and programs in collaboration with District Managers, Regional VP's, and General Managers to achieve the region's financial and operating objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and accounting standards across all venues.
  • Support new and current business start-ups by providing financial analysis and guidance.
  • Assist in the development and presentation of the quarterly Management Operating Review.
  • Conduct ongoing training sessions for the field finance team on new accounting procedures and financial programs.
  • Monitor working capital requirements, particularly focusing on accounts receivable administration and collection.
  • Review the controls of balance sheet reconciliations, including AR, Change Fund, Customer Deposits, Deferred Income, and Accrued Expenses at field locations.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities through proforma review, customer reinvestment, investments, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Engage with other regional managers to identify and promote sharing of best practices.
Qualifications
  • 5-7+ years of experience in finance and/or accounting, or related profession experience.
  • Prior experience providing 3rd party services is preferred.
  • Multi-Site and contract experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as a "hands-on" finance professional.
  • Experience managing back-office capabilities (A/P, A/R, Payroll) is ideal but not required.
  • Excellent understanding of budgeting, financial planning, compliance requirements, and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing teams.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • NetSuite and Sage experience is a plus.
  • Willing to travel if applicable 20-40%
