Job Description
The Program Manager of Social Marketing executes and supports social media strategy, campaigns, and activations, setting the tone for the brand's online presence. This role serves as a trusted, social media subject matter expert (SME) and partner within the Mazda Marketing team, bringing clear direction, platform knowledge, and a strong understanding of what matters to customers and communities. In addition, this role ensures social media planning and execution support Mazda's larger brand, marketing, and business goals.
Major Responsibilities
- (40%) Social Media Platform Management
- Support the planning and execution of social campaigns, content strategies, and platform activations across Mazda vehicle launches, brand initiatives, and key marketing moments.
- Facilitate Mazda’s social presence across platforms, partnering with agency teams on content planning, publishing, community engagement, and real-time opportunities.
- Serve as SME in the management and ongoing optimization of Sprinklr, including publishing workflows, governance, reporting capabilities, and cross-functional coordination with agency and customer experience teams.
- Collaborate with creative and strategy teams to develop platform-native content approaches and channel-specific recommendations aligned to audience behaviors and campaign objectives.
- Monitor platform trends, audience conversations, and campaign performance to identify optimization opportunities and inform future social planning.
- Assist in the coordination and execution of social support for live events, launches, partnerships, and real-time coverage opportunities.
- Support agency and internal team coordination across timelines, approvals, deliverables, and publishing workflows for social initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of social playbooks, campaign recommendations, reporting summaries, and strategic presentations for internal stakeholders.
- (40%) Strategic Planning & Collaboration
- Support the development and execution of integrated social marketing strategies across paid, organic, influencer, and community management workstreams.
- Partner cross-functionally with Brand, Media, PR, CRM, Retail, Experiential, Motorsports, and agency teams to ensure social is aligned to broader marketing initiatives and campaign priorities.
- Identify culturally relevant opportunities, platform trends, audience behaviors, and emerging conversations that can inform social content and campaign development.
- Collaborate with creative, media, and analytics teams to develop platform-native social programs that drive engagement and business impact.
- Execute Mazda’s creator and influencer initiatives, including campaign planning, creator coordination, content development, approvals, and performance tracking.
- Monitor social performance and platform trends to identify optimization opportunities and inform future campaign planning.
- Help evolve social best practices, processes, and ways of working to improve collaboration and operational efficiency across teams and agency partners.
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, agency teams, creators, platform partners, and external vendors to support effective execution of social initiatives.
- (20%) Reporting & Budgeting
- Support the development of recurring social reporting and performance recaps, helping identify key trends, audience insights, and optimization opportunities across platforms and campaigns.
- Monitor social campaign performance and pacing against established goals, benchmarks, and KPIs in partnership with media, analytics, and agency teams.
- Assist in maintaining social content calendars, publishing schedules, and campaign trackers to support cross-functional alignment and execution.
- Help support budget tracking, invoice management, and spend reconciliation across social initiatives and agency partners.

Work Experience
- 5+ years experience in a social media role managing multiple social media accounts and coordinating content required
- 3+ years experience in senior-level strategic partnership within social marketing, including agency teams required
- 3+ years experience identifying opportunities for business growth and developing and executing plans to win required
- Experience in the automotive and premium categories preferred
- Experience working within enterprise social management platforms, preferably Sprinklr, including publishing workflows, community management, reporting, governance, and cross-functional collaboration preferred
- Experience managing large-scale influencer programs, including strategy, creator selection, campaign execution, content development, performance measurement, and cross-functional coordination preferred
Education
- Bachelor Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Required
- An equivalent mix of education, training, and/or work experience may be considered in place of a degree

Pay Range
$87,000.00 - $126,225.00
Salary to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
