Description of Work
The Investigations Program Manager has regulatory oversight for designated regions in the state, which includes supervision of Investigations Supervisors who lead teams of Investigations Consultants. This position manages the team activities to assure that Regulatory and Investigations policies and procedures are implemented correctly and consistently. This position communicates and collaborates effectively with DCDEE management, other section and division staff, as well as with other state agencies and partnering agencies. This position also supervises a Lead Investigations Consultant that works closely with Investigations Supervisors and Consultants. This position ensures compliance with North Carolina General Statute 110-85 which declares the State should protect children in child care facilities by ensuring that these facilities provide a physically safe and healthy environment where the developmental needs of these children are met and where these children are cared for by persons of good moral character.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Salary Range: $63,927 - $111,871
Recruitment Range: $63,927 - $88,438

The Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) implements quality standards for child care and increases access to families and their children across North Carolina. The Regulatory Services Section is the largest section within the Division of Child Development and Early Education with more than 200 employees. The Compliance Branch within the Regulatory Services Section includes the Investigations Unit, that has three Program Managers, three Lead Investigations Consultants and six teams with a Supervisor and four Investigators on each team.
