Product Director- HDM

As a Product Director, you will be an integral part of our product team leading, planning, executing and delivering successful product releases. You will take responsibility for driving the roadmap and the evolution of the Motive Home Device Manager (HDM) product line.

So, how are we going to keep you busy?

Product Leadership:

• Gathering market intelligence and competitive research. What problems do customers need to solve and what drive value for them.
• Inserting yourself into industry groups as a thought leader – Broadband Forum (BBF), Prpl, RDK, etc.
• Making it clear to our customers our product platform is the clear choice for Broadband Device Management, including Wi-Fi optimization and application lifecycle management on the CPEs.
• Create compelling content and sales enablement collateral. This includes battle cards, demos, presentations, training, and one-pagers.
• Educate sales and customer-facing teams with market challenges, trends, and how Motive empowers operators to address each one of them.
• Lead product marketing in internal and external communication. Building the required communication channels: newsletters, webinars, customer forums, etc.
• Customer engagement. Join customer meetings from time to time to hear ‘firsthand’ what the customers expect from Motive.
• Thought leadership and positioning Motive as a leader in the  broadband device management space.
• Work with OEMs and device vendors to continue to lead the Motive TR-069/TR-369 broadband ecosystem.
• Maintaining product catalog and pricing

• R&D Management

• You will be managing the HDM R&D team
• Working with the R&D Manager, you will be instrumental in developing and strengthening the R&D team, including
  • Improving product quality
  • Driving next gen technical stack decisions
  • Establishing strong architecture capabilities
  • Driving the secure SDLC within the product, aligning with Motive policies
  • Overall short- and long-term product evolution

• What will make you eligible for this role?

• Bachelors or master’s in engineering
• Business degree is a plus
• 6+ years of professional experience in product management
• 6+ years of experience in leading, managing, and coaching R&D teams, preferably in Agile setup and ideally in the Telecom field
• Experience broadband device management and specifications such as TR-069 and TR-369
• Experienced cross-functional collaborator across engineering, sales, marketing and other departments
• Willingness to travel, engage, learn, leverage your past to intelligently evolve the future

• Deep understanding of broadband CPE lifecycle management
• Device onboarding, provisioning, configuration, firmware management and diagnostics
• Experience managing millions of connected devices
• Remote device management and zero-touch provisioning
• Familiar with broadband technologies:
  • Fiber (GPON/XGS-PON), DOCSIS
  • Fixed Wireless Access (FWA)
  • Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi 5/6/6E/7), Mesh networking
  • LAN/WAN networking fundamentals
  • IPv4/IPv6, DHCP, DNS, NAT
• Strong knowledge of standards such as:
  • TR-069
  • TR-369 (USP)
  • TR-181
  • MQTT
  • NETCONF/YANG (nice to have)
  • Experience working with:
    • Tier-1 Communications Service Providers
    • OSS/BSS ecosystem
    • Customer care operations
    • Network Operations Centers (NOC)
  • Technical skills:
    • Cloud-native SaaS products
    • Microservices architecture / Kubernetes
    • REST APIs
    • Telemetry and analytics
    • AI/ML applications
    • Data-driven product management
    • Security and privacy fundamentals

Location- Remote Canada/ Ireland/ Poland

Salary - CAD 120K- 140K
