Procurement Manager

The Procurement Manager plays a pivotal role in developing and executing sourcing strategies within assigned categories, collaborating closely with key business stakeholders. This position is responsible for leading procurement initiatives, managing supplier relationships, driving cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and best practices. The successful candidate will serve as a strategic advisor to the business, offering guidance on sourcing, supplier management, risk mitigation, and procurement processes.

• Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop category sourcing strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities for goods and services, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and effective risk management.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on procurement policies, processes, and industry best practices.
• Develop and manage category strategies, sourcing pipelines, and supplier governance programs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers while identifying and evaluating potential new vendors.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements to maximize value and minimize risk.
• Monitor compliance with procurement procedures and provide consultative support throughout the sourcing lifecycle.
• Prepare sourcing analyses, reports, and recommendations for leadership and key stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support business initiatives and continuous process improvement efforts.

• 5–7 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain management.
• Strong understanding of procurement and sourcing methodologies, supplier management, and contract negotiations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Experience developing and implementing category management strategies.
• Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management experience.
• Knowledge of procurement systems, contract management practices, and sourcing tools.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive strategic procurement initiatives across the organization.

This is a fully remote opportunity with a contract through January, slated for full-time conversion pending satisfactory performance. The team consists of 10 people on the corporate side of the business, with whom this individual will regularly interact.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Del Valle, TX.

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
