ROLE OVERVIEW
As IHS's Procurement and Pricing Analyst, you will build the analytics backbone for a $500M multi-brand business, turning pricing, rebate, vendor, and consumer financing data into decisions our leadership can act on. Reporting directly to the SVP of Merchandising, you will serve as the embedded business side analytical resource on our new Digital Selling Tool and pricing engine build, partnering closely with Finance, IT, brand presidents, and vendor partners from day one.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pricing Engine & Digital Selling Tool: Serve as the embedded analytical partner on the pricing engine build, defining and validating pricing logic and owning SKU level cost and price data accuracy. Provide detailed analytics to senior and field leadership to make informed business decisions.
- Rebate & Vendor Performance: Monitor and validate outputs from our AI powered rebate tool against vendor statements. Track pace to threshold across all manufacturer and distributor programs and alert brands of status before eligible windows close.
- Gross Margin & Price Intelligence: Use BI tools to analyze cost variability and quantify gross margin leakage across brands, distributors, and manufacturers. Support price elasticity analysis and margin profiling across all product categories.
- Consumer Financing Analytics: Track approval rates, cost of lending, and conversion performance across all 24 brands and lender partners. Maintain the lender scorecard.
- Executive Reporting: Prepare recurring financing, rebate, and vendor performance reports, plus ad hoc analysis for the CEO, President, and CFO as directed by the SVP of Merchandising.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3 to 4 years of analytical experience in a pricing, procurement, finance, or operations role; home services, retail, or distribution background preferred but not required.
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including financial modeling, pivot analysis, conditional formatting, and data validation across large, multi-source datasets.
- Hands on experience using AI tools for analytics, such as prompt driven data analysis or AI assisted reporting workflows.
- Comfort partnering directly with an IT or product build team to translate business requirements into pricing logic and data rules.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver clean, decision ready analytical output under deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with senior levels of an organization.
- Self directed and organized, able to manage multiple live workstreams without close daily supervision.
- Ability to travel periodically for brand, vendor, and IT build sessions.
- Preferred: experience with CRM or ERP systems (Zoho CRM, Acumatica, or similar), exposure to consumer financing or payment product economics, and familiarity with Power BI, Vena, or similar BI/FP&A tools.
