Vida Health is hiring a Principal Product Manager, Member Experience to own the strategy and the execution of our member-facing product. You'll drive engagement, retention, and health outcomes for hundreds of thousands of members across Vida's clinical and behavioral programs.

The Member Experience team owns the whole consumer journey, from onboarding through long-term engagement and retention. You'll report to the Director, Member Experience, and be the member experience's most senior product thinker. You'll work closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Clinical to ship high-impact improvements and to define the member side of Vida 2.0.

This is a senior, hands-on IC role. You'll set direction for the member experience and also do the work yourself: run the backlog, dig into the data, design experiments, and ship. No PMs report to you. We're looking for someone who is as comfortable writing SQL and triaging a release as they are presenting a multi-year vision to the exec team.

• Own the vision and strategy for the member experience and tie it to Vida 2.0. That means a personalized experience that uses clinical intelligence to give each member the right intervention at the right time, sets outcome goals just for them, and moves them into maintenance at the right moment.
• Shape prioritization for the member experience's biggest bets. Make and defend hard tradeoffs between near-term improvements and next-generation investments.
• Set the member experience OKRs, tie them to company strategy, and hold yourself accountable to outcomes, not just shipping.
• Lead competitive and market thinking for the member experience and turn it into product direction.
• Own the member experience backlog and roadmap end to end. Prioritize, scope, ship, and measure improvements to the core product: home screen, logging, goal setting, content, and care team interactions.
• Keep the product quality bar high. Own bug triage and push for a reliable, fast product.
• Work with Engineering and Design to keep velocity up, unblock delivery, and make hard technical tradeoffs. Work with engineering leadership on the most complex technical decisions, including the foundations for personalization.
• Turn client requests and stakeholder input into well-scoped product work without lowering the quality of the member experience.
• Lead complex cross-functional launches. Work with Clinical so product changes support care delivery, medication management, and coaching workflows.
• Own the member experience metrics: engagement, retention, churn, activation, and NPS. Be the go-to expert on what drives them.
• Do the analysis yourself. Use SQL, Looker, and PostHog to find friction points, drop-off patterns, and opportunities, and to answer what's happening, why, and what we should do about it.
• Build and maintain the member experience dashboards. Set a regular data review cadence and make sure the insights shape decisions across the org.
• Design, run, and interpret Vida's most complex experiments, from quick A/B tests on core features to personalization and intervention tests. Make sure what we learn spreads beyond your team.
• Define success metrics for the member experience's biggest bets and challenge vanity metrics.
• Size opportunities credibly and precisely, so prioritization and investment decisions rest on evidence.
• Define the most important problems in the member journey and stop the team from solving the wrong ones.
• Plan and run user research yourself, including moderated testing, concept validation, and prototype testing for next-generation experiences.
• Pull together behavioral data, research, clinical input, client needs, and competitive analysis to surface what matters most.
• Build empathy for members across the company through storytelling and advocacy.
• Drive alignment with senior stakeholders across Clinical, Customer Success, Marketing, and the exec team. Make the business case clearly and hold your ground when you need to.
• Work with the Client and Provider product groups so members move smoothly from enrollment into the core experience. Work with Marketing on re-engagement and lifecycle messaging.
• Set the standard for great product work at Vida, especially in analytics, experimentation, and discovery. Raise the craft of the PMs around you.
