Clarus, a Doubtless company is seeking a Pricing & Market Intelligence Analyst to lead pricing strategy, market research, competitive intelligence, and commercialization analysis across our growing portfolio of veterinary technology products. 


This role will be responsible for developing data-driven pricing recommendations that balance customer value, competitive positioning, product costs, margin objectives, and market opportunities. The position will partner closely with Product, Commercial, Finance, Operations, and Executive Leadership to ensure product pricing and packaging decisions support Clarus' growth strategy and profitability goals. The ideal candidate combines analytical rigor with strategic thinking and enjoys translating complex market data into actionable business recommendations.

 

  •  Key Responsibilities Pricing Strategy & Commercialization 
    • Develop pricing strategies and recommendations for new and existing Clarus products and services. 
    • Evaluate subscription, transaction-based, usage-based, claims-based, and hybrid pricing models. 
    • Recommend pricing, packaging, bundling, and commercialization strategies for software and data products. 
    • Assess business cases and pricing approaches for new product launches, strategic partnerships, and market expansions. 
    • Monitor pricing performance and recommend optimization opportunities to improve revenue growth, adoption, and profitability. 
    • Establish pricing governance and pricing approval processes across the product portfolio. 

  • Market Research & Competitive Intelligence 
    • Conduct market research to understand customer purchasing behavior, willingness to pay, unmet needs, and market trends. 
    • Develop competitive intelligence on veterinary software providers, practice management systems, claims solutions, payment platforms, and emerging market entrants. 
    • Analyze competitor pricing models, product offerings, and go-to-market strategies. 
    • Identify market opportunities, risks, and industry trends that influence product strategy and commercial decisions. 
    • Conduct customer and stakeholder interviews, surveys, and research initiatives to support pricing and product decisions. 

  • Financial & Business Analysis 
    • Assess product delivery costs, operating expenses, implementation costs, support costs, and partnership economics to support pricing recommendations. 
    • Build financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate pricing alternatives and expected business outcomes. 
    • Partner with Finance on revenue forecasts, margin assessments, and long-range planning assumptions. 
    • Measure the effectiveness of pricing decisions through adoption, retention, revenue, and profitability metrics. 
    • Develop executive-level reports, dashboards, and recommendations for leadership review. 

  • Cross-Functional Partnership 
    • Partner with Product Managers throughout the product lifecycle to develop pricing and commercialization strategies. 
    • Collaborate with Commercial teams to ensure pricing recommendations align with market realities and customer needs. 
    • Support strategic planning, annual operating planning, and product investment prioritization decisions. 
    • Partner with M&A, Strategic Partnerships, and Corporate Development teams to assess pricing and market opportunities for acquisitions, partnerships, and new business models. 
    • Support product launch readiness activities, including pricing, positioning, and market assessments. 

  •  Qualifications Education 
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field. 
    • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred. 

  • Experience 
    • 8+ years of experience in pricing strategy, market research, product operations, strategic planning, management consulting, business analysis, or related fields. 
    • Experience supporting SaaS, healthcare technology, insurance technology, payments, analytics, AI-enabled products, or platform businesses preferred. 
    • Demonstrated experience building business cases, financial models, and pricing recommendations. 
    • Experience conducting primary and secondary market research and competitive analysis. 

  • Skills 
    • Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities. 
    • Ability to synthesize large amounts of market, customer, and financial data into clear recommendations. 
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with executive audiences. 
    • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking skills. 
    • Ability to influence decision-making across cross-functional teams. 
    • Advanced Excel and Power BI/Tableau experience preferred. 

  •  Success Measures Success in this role will be measured by: 
    • Revenue and margin impact from pricing initiatives. 
    • Accuracy and effectiveness of pricing recommendations. 
    • Product launch commercialization readiness. 
    • Competitive positioning improvements. 
    • Executive adoption of pricing and market recommendations. 
    • Quality and timeliness of market intelligence delivered to leadership. 
    • Support of strategic planning, investment, and partnership decisions. 

Compensation:


  • Chicago/Boston Base pay range: $123,774 – $154,718 per year
  • NYC Base pay range: $135,026 - $168,784 per year
  • Miami Base pay range: $118,148 - $147,686
  • Nationwide Base pay range: $112,522 - 140,653 per year


This is the range we reasonably expect to pay at hire. Placement within the range depends on job-related factors such as experience, skills, and certifications. This position is eligible for an annual bonus. Base pay is one part of a total rewards package that includes the benefits listed below.
