The Account Manager is responsible for researching target markets, prospecting new leads, and managing existing customer relationships to drive growth. They will coordinate with internal teams to prepare proposals and ensure effective project delivery while maintaining accurate records in Salesforce.
Summary
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Account Manager supports Norseman Structures’ growth by researching target markets, prospecting, qualifying opportunities, building customer relationships, and helping manage new and existing accounts. Working closely with sales leadership and internal teams, the successful candidate will learn Norseman’s ShelterSolutions, sales processes, and industrial markets while building capabilities in customer follow-up, account development, opportunity management, and Salesforce. This position is for a motivated, coachable sales professional interested in building a career in industrial account management.

Key Accountabilities
Researches target accounts, projects, capital spending, EPCM and contractor awards, customer activity, and market trends to identify sales opportunities.
Builds and maintains relationships with customers and prospects across industrial markets to uncover repeat business, growth opportunities, referrals, and new contacts.
Conducts outbound prospecting via phone, email, LinkedIn, industry events, referrals, and other approved channels.
Identifies and engages operations, project, procurement, estimating, construction, and engineering stakeholders within target accounts.
Qualifies leads and opportunities by gathering information on customer needs, project scope, budget, schedule, decision-makers, procurement requirements, and competition.
Schedules and participates in customer meetings, discovery calls, presentations, site visits, and account-development activities.
Maintains accurate Salesforce records for accounts, contacts, leads, activities, opportunities, relationships, and potential future projects.
Supports the preparation of budgetary quotations, proposals, presentations, account plans, meeting materials, and customer correspondence.
Works with the proposals, estimating, engineering, project management, construction, manufacturing, marketing, finance, logistics, and customer-service teams to coordinate sales activities.
Learns Norseman’s ShelterSolutions, building systems, applications, acquisition options, project-delivery capabilities, and value proposition.
Clearly communicates Norseman’s brand, capabilities, and Fiercely Reliable approach, positioning the company as a trusted ShelterSolutions partner from planning through to after-sales service.
Supports account-planning activities for strategic and growth accounts, including contact mapping, opportunity reviews, meeting planning, and follow-up.
Participates in weekly pipeline and forecast reviews and provides timely updates on activities, opportunities, customer needs, risks, and next steps.
Assists with planning, attending, and following up on trade shows, industry events, association meetings, conferences, lunch-and-learns, and networking activities.
Develops a personal territory and account-development plan in collaboration with the Director of Sales.
Works toward agreed sales, activity, pipeline, account-development, and professional-development objectives.
Actively participates in coaching, product training, sales training, industry education, and ongoing professional development.
Performs other related sales and account-development duties as assigned.
Requirements
Post-secondary education in business, marketing, sales, construction, engineering technology, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
One to three years of sales, business development, customer service, account coordination, or related experience is preferred
Experience in industrial, construction, mining, oil and gas, manufacturing, engineering, or business-to-business sales is considered an asset.
Able to communicate professionally with customers and internal team members at different organizational levels.
Proficient with Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Experience with Salesforce or another customer relationship management system is considered an asset.
Work Conditions
Regular travel will be required for customer meetings, site visits, training, trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
Position is based in Saskatoon, SK; remote work arrangements may be considered for the right applicant.
Customer and project-site visits may require compliance with site-specific orientation, personal protective equipment, fitness-for-duty, and safety requirements.
