The Near Patient Quality Assurance Lead will oversee quality and patient safety initiatives across partner healthcare facilities within the TRICARE Overseas Program. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
International SOS Japan is seeking a Japanese-English bilingual Near Patient Quality Assurance Lead (NPQAL) to support quality assurance and patient safety initiatives across partner healthcare facilities.
The NPQAL is responsible for leading quality assurance and patient safety initiatives across partner hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities participating in the TRICARE Overseas Program (TOP). This role works closely with internal teams and healthcare organizations to ensure high standards of clinical quality, patient safety, and service delivery.
This is a fully remote position based in Japan on a one-year fixed-term contract.
Description:
Lead quality assurance and patient safety initiatives across partner hospitals, clinics, and healthcare facilities.
Investigate quality-related incidents, complaints, and grievances and recommend corrective actions.
Conduct quality reviews, audits, and case evaluations to ensure compliance with clinical and operational standards.
Analyze quality and performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Develop, implement, and monitor quality improvement and risk mitigation plans.
Collaborate with internal teams and healthcare facilities to improve patient outcomes and service quality.
Prepare quality reports and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
Support continuous improvement activities, clinical governance, and best practice implementation.
Requirements:
Business-level English and native-level Japanese proficiency
Registered Nurse with at least 3 years of clinical experience
Experience in quality assurance, patient safety, clinical governance, healthcare management, or a related field
Experience conducting investigations, audits, or quality improvement projects
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
