About Vision Change Win
Vision Change Win is a Black-led team of mostly queer and trans people of color dedicated to supporting organizations in fully manifesting their missions, visions, and values. Vision Change Win exists to support progressive grassroots and organizing groups to build the tools needed to create a more liberatory society. VCW delivers practical support to social justice organizations in the areas of organizational sustainability and resilience, political strategy, conflict transformation, transformative strategy, and community safety. In this current political climate, the organization operates as both a strategic partner to social justice movements and leaders as well as a movement laboratory creating innovative programming to meet the needs of Left groups and to fight fascism.
VCW’s work is drawn from a long lineage of Black and Latinx revolutionary organizing and incorporates political frameworks, including racial justice, gender justice, LGBTQ liberation, prison and police abolition, and disability justice. In addition to this, we are a strategic partner to abolitionist organizations actively working to defund the police on concrete campaign strategies and viable alternative institutions to provide safety.
About the Position
Vision Change Win has spent the past several years expanding our programs, deepening our client work, and building relationships with organizations, practitioners, and movement partners across the country. As our reach has grown, we created the Movement Partnership Coordinator role to strengthen these relationships and help build the infrastructure that supports long-term collaboration across our movement ecosystem.
The Movement Partnership Coordinator will cultivate and steward relationships across VCW's networks, including organizers, practitioners, alumni, partner organizations, clients, and program participants. Working across programs, this role will build systems that support ongoing engagement, connect people to VCW's broader ecosystem, and identify opportunities for collaboration, leadership development, and collective action. Although VCW is a fully remote organization, this is a highly relational role that requires regular travel to movement gatherings, conferences, partner meetings, and other in-person events. Travel is expected to average approximately 40% and may include travel once or more monthly, with frequency varying throughout the year. The Movement Partnership Coordinator reports to the Deputy Director of Strategy and Programs and works closely with staff across the organization to strengthen movement coordination and partnership.
This role requires someone with the instincts of a grassroots organizer and the discipline of a systems builder. You understand movements are built through relationships, and know how to create the coordination, infrastructure, and follow-through that helps those relationships to flourish. As Movement Partnership Coordinator, you are energized by organizing and systems-building, bringing thoughtful project management, and excellent judgment. As the newest member of the #humblegenius team, you have a deep attention to detail, appetite for self and organizational growth, a passion for liberation movements, and courageous yet compassionate interpersonal communication skills.
