Intro
About BidX
BidX builds a SaaS platform that automates Amazon advertising for sellers and agencies — bid
management, performance analytics, and reporting built directly on top of the Amazon
Advertising API, Selling Partner API, and Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC). We're a growing
engineering team looking for an experienced contractor to strengthen our development capacity
Your area of responsibility will include the following
About the RoleWe're looking for an experienced, hands-on developer to join our team on a part-time
(20h/week) contractor basis. You'll work closely with our ~10-person engineering team on real
product features and data pipeline work — not busywork. This role suits an independent
contractor who wants substantial engineering ownership without a full-time commitment, and
who can work productively with minimal ramp-up time given prior mid/senior-level experience.
Tech Stack- Backend: PHP 8.x, Laravel, static analysis via PHPStan/Larastan
- Frontend: Vue 3, PrimeVue component library
- Data: MariaDB, ClickHouse (large-scale analytical queries), Amazon Advertising API /
Selling Partner API / AMC (SQL)
- Infra: AWS Elastic Beanstalk, CI/CD via Buddy
- Testing: PHPUnit
What You'll Work On- Building and maintaining features across our Laravel backend and Vue 3 frontend
- Writing and optimizing ClickHouse/MariaDB queries for advertising performance data at
scale
- Contributing to data pipelines that connect Amazon's advertising and seller APIs into our
platform
- Collaborating with the team on code review, static analysis (PHPStan/Larastan), and test
coverage
- Working within an established architecture (component patterns, caching layers,
translation/localization tooling) rather than building everything from scratch
What you need to bring
What We're Looking For
- Several years of professional experience with PHP and a modern framework (Laravel
experience is a strong plus)
- Comfortable with Vue.js (we use Vue 3 with the Options API)
- SQL proficiency, ideally with MariaDB / ClickHouse
- Pragmatic coding style: you value simplicity over premature abstraction and write
maintainable code
- Able to work independently within a defined scope, and communicate clearly async (this
is a part-time, fully remote role)
- Interest in advertising technology, marketplace/e-commerce data, or SaaS products is a
plus
Why us?
What We Offer
- 20 hours/week, flexible scheduling around your other commitments
- Freelance/contract engagement (please indicate your day rate or hourly rate
expectations)
- Direct ownership of real features — not isolated tickets
- A small, technically strong team where your input on architecture and tooling decisions is
genuinely valued
- 100% remote
