This role is for builders. So we’re not asking for a traditional CV.
Go to coverflexprojects.com and figure out how to apply. 😉
We’re intentionally leaving some of the process for you to discover — after all, figuring things out is kind of the point of this role.
This role builds and owns the systems that make Coverflex's GTM engine scale, including automations, AI workflows, integrations, and data flows across four markets: Portugal, Italy, Spain and Germany.
Every SQL generated by automated outbound, every self-service signup driven by a growth experiment, and every hour of manual GTM work eliminated runs through infrastructure this person builds. It’s the difference between growth that scales with headcount and growth that scales with systems.
You’ll know you’re successful when, after 90 days, you’ve:
Built and shipped GTM systems that generate or influence SQLs across our markets
Launched growth experiments and automated flows that drive qualified signups
How we’ll measure success:
Main KPI 1: SQLs — generated or influenced by motions such as referrals, partners, automated outbound and GTM systems across markets
Main KPI 2: Signups — self-service signups driven by growth experiments and automated flows
Let's be real — here's what makes this role challenging:
Breadth: you'll sit at the intersection of Growth, GTM, Ops, Data and AI, supporting Marketing, Sales and Product across four markets — each with different funnels, systems and data quirks.
There is no playbook. Many of the systems you'll build will start from scratch, so you'll need to own problems end to end rather than wait for detailed tickets or specifications.
Reliability matters. These automations support revenue-critical processes, so a workflow that silently breaks can mean lost pipeline, missed opportunities or bad data.
The tooling landscape moves fast. You'll need to evaluate, adopt or kill tools quickly without chasing shiny objects — and when the right tool doesn't exist, you'll be expected to build the solution yourself.
You'll constantly translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders. The systems you build only create leverage if the teams using them trust them, understand them and can rely on them.
This is not a role where you'll spend your time simply maintaining campaigns or optimising existing workflows. You'll be expected to spot opportunities, build solutions and make systems better.
Experience in GTM Engineering, Growth Ops, marketing or sales automation
Strong experience with n8n or similar workflow builders
Experience connecting systems through APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and custom integrations
Hands-on knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, AI agents, and AI workflows
Familiarity with concepts like RAG and MCP
A strong understanding of how Marketing, Sales, Growth, and Ops work together
A business mindset, with a focus on growth, speed, reliability, and measurable impact
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to turn complex problems into clear systems
Ability to own multiple projects and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical teams
A track record of building and shipping systems, automations or workflows that solved a real business problem
Experience building AI agents, SDR/BDR systems, or internal GTM tools
Experience managing, testing, and versioning prompts
Basic JavaScript, Python, or SQL
Experience with tools like Clay, Lemlist, HubSpot, Apify, Segment, or BigQuery
Experience working across Marketing, Sales, Product, and Ops
Experience documenting systems and enabling non-technical teams to use them
Experience working across multiple European markets
Don’t check every box? That’s fine. If you’re curious, technical, business-minded, and love figuring out better ways to build and run GTM systems, we’d still love to hear from you.
Deeply curious: you constantly question how things could be done differently, faster, or more effectively
Proactive by default: you don't wait for instructions or predefined playbooks — you bring ideas and test hypotheses
Creative and analytical: you think boldly and unconventionally while maintaining a strong focus on measurement and business impact
Comfortable with ambiguity: you move quickly and run experiments that may fail, because you know breakthrough growth comes from exploration
Pragmatic and tool-agnostic: you care about solving the problem, not using a particular tool. You'll buy, build or combine whatever gets to the best outcome
Execution-driven: you know your impact today, your plan for tomorrow, and what needs to happen to move your projects forward
Transparent: you communicate clearly about what you've built, how it works, what could break and — importantly — how you use AI in your work
You’ll probably find this frustrating if…
You're only comfortable optimising existing channels rather than discovering new ones
You need constant direction or validation before taking action
You think in terms of campaigns rather than experiments and systems
You're uncomfortable with uncertainty or incremental by default
You ship fast but don't care about monitoring, error handling, documentation or what happens when things break
You enjoy experimenting with tools but struggle to explain what business problem the tool actually solves
Hiring Manager: Pedro Azevedo - Marketing Ops Manager
Location: Portugal
LinkedIn Profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/pedroazevedo22/
Profile Snapshot:
Energy: Builder's pace — pragmatic, curious, always experimenting with new tools and better ways to work
Communication: Clear and async-first — Slack and quick huddles, context up front, decisions fast
Feedback Style: Frequent and specific — about the work, never the person, and welcome in both directions
How to work with me - in the Manager's own words:
"My management style is built on clarity. You'll always know what we're trying to achieve, why it matters to the business, and how we'll measure it — the how is yours to own. I don't do micromanagement and I don't do surprises: we keep priorities visible, talk often, and course-correct early instead of at the deadline. I take what you build seriously, which means I'll ask hard questions — about reliability, about impact, about whether we're even solving the right problem — because I want your work to matter, not just to exist. When something wins, the credit is yours; when something fails, we debug it together and move on smarter. Expect honesty in both directions, fast decisions, and a manager genuinely invested in making you better at your craft, helping you deep-dive in your projects in detail."
You'll join the Growth Ops team and you'll work alongside two peers on shared projects, with Pedro Costa (Head of Growth) leading the wider Growth team.
You'll work closely with:
Local Marketing teams across our markets
PLG Team
Product
Data & Analytics
Revenue Operations
Your work will sit at the intersection of these teams, turning growth and GTM opportunities into scalable systems and workflows.
Team rituals and ways of working:
Weekly team meetings / syncs
Regular 1:1 with Pedro
Async collaboration through Slack and documentation in Notion
Shared project work across Growth Ops and the wider Growth team
