Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Infrastructure Services (Windows, VMware & Citrix) to lead the delivery, operational management, and modernization of enterprise infrastructure services supporting mission-critical business applications and end-user computing environments.

This role is responsible for managing a team of infrastructure engineers and administrators supporting Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware virtualization, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), Remote Desktop Services (RDS), enterprise storage, and related infrastructure technologies. The successful candidate will ensure service excellence, operational stability, platform security, and successful execution of infrastructure transformation initiatives while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Service Delivery & Operations

• Lead the delivery and support of Windows, virtualization, and Citrix infrastructure services.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, operational metrics, and client commitments.
• Oversee incident, problem, change, and outage management activities across supported environments.
• Drive continuous service improvement initiatives focused on availability, performance, automation, and user experience.
• Manage platform lifecycles, operational risks, technical debt, and compliance requirements.

Leadership & Resource Management

• Lead and mentor a team of Windows, VMware, and Citrix engineers supporting enterprise production environments.
• Establish performance goals, career development plans, and succession planning strategies.
• Manage workload prioritization, staffing requirements, and resource allocation across operational support and project initiatives.
• Foster a culture of accountability, technical excellence, collaboration, and customer service.

Infrastructure & Platform Management

• Provide leadership and governance for:
  • Microsoft Windows Server environments
  • Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
  • VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter platforms
  • Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD)
  • Citrix Netscaler/ADC
  • Remote Desktop Services (RDS)
  • Microsoft PKI and Identity Services
  • Enterprise Storage and Backup Services
  • Server Monitoring and Management Platforms
• Ensure timely patching, vulnerability remediation, and security compliance activities.
• Oversee capacity management, performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity readiness.

Project & Transformation Leadership

• Lead infrastructure deployments, upgrades, migrations, and modernization programs.
• Drive virtualization optimization, Windows platform upgrades, Citrix transformation initiatives, and infrastructure consolidation efforts.
• Partner with cloud, security, network, application, and architecture teams to deliver strategic technology solutions.
• Promote automation and operational efficiency through PowerShell, infrastructure-as-code, and systems management tools.
• Support hybrid cloud adoption and integration initiatives.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as the primary escalation point for Windows, VMware, and Citrix service delivery issues.
• Develop and present operational reviews, performance metrics, service health dashboards, and risk assessments.
• Communicate project status, service improvements, and infrastructure roadmaps to leadership and clients.
• Support solution development, resource planning, budgeting, and client growth opportunities.

Success Measures

• Achievement of infrastructure SLA, availability, and performance targets.
• Successful delivery of modernization, migration, and transformation projects.
• Reduction of operational risk, technical debt, and recurring incidents.
• Improved security compliance, patch management, and vulnerability remediation metrics.
• Increased automation, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Strong employee engagement, retention, and technical capability development.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a hands-on infrastructure leader with strong experience managing enterprise Windows, virtualization, and end-user computing environments. This individual combines technical depth with operational leadership, excels in customer-facing service delivery, and can successfully lead both transformational initiatives and day-to-day

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise Windows infrastructure environments.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing technical infrastructure teams.
• Strong experience with:
  • Microsoft Windows Server
  • Active Directory Services
  • VMware vSphere and ESXi
  • Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
  • Citrix ADC (Netscaler)
  • Microsoft DNS and DHCP
  • Server virtualization and enterprise infrastructure operations
• Experience supporting large-scale production environments with high availability requirements.
• Strong understanding of ITIL service management principles and operational best practices.
• Experience managing disaster recovery, business continuity, and resiliency planning.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading enterprise infrastructure modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, and hybrid identity solutions.
• Experience with PowerShell automation, Ansible, or similar orchestration platforms.
• Experience with VDI optimization, profile management, and EUC transformation programs.
• ITIL Foundation or advanced ITIL certification.
• VMware (VCP), Citrix (CCP-V/CCE-V), Microsoft, or related infrastructure certifications.
