Labor is the last broken supply chain. Forecasting, allocation, and professional identity remain fragmented across static tools and manual decision-making. Ando is rebuilding this system from first principles.
We start with highly accurate AI-generated demand forecasts, move to allocation-first labor optimization, and compound value through a persistent labor graph that captures skills, reliability, availability, and performance across time and employers. Over time, this becomes a professional identity layer and intelligent system serving both enterprises and frontline workers.
Ando is a Seed-stage company backed by Slow Ventures and experienced operators. We are live with real customers and entering a phase where architectural clarity, learning loops, and AI systems quality are foundational to long-term success.
The role
A hybrid role that combines two real skill sets in one person. You’ll spend about half your time as a labor analyst — running the numbers, tuning the model, translating customer data into recommendations — and the other half as a customer relationship owner, running intake meetings, leading quarterly reviews, and being the voice a customer trusts when something is wrong. We’re not hiring an analyst who occasionally joins a call, or an account manager who hands off the numbers. We need one person who does both well and can hold the whole thread, from Monday’s raw data to Friday’s executive review.
What you’ll do
The Analyst half (~50%)
Ingest customer labor and operational data and turn it into automated schedule recommendations using Ando’s model.
Analyze schedule-vs-actual outcomes weekly. Find where the model is off and tune the inputs.
Contribute to the labor matrix and run cost and usage analyses that inform pricing and positioning.
Work with product and engineering to turn customer needs into product improvements.
The Customer Success half (~50%)
Run intake with each new customer and lead the change-management conversation honestly and early.
Own the weekly relationship — standing meetings, status updates, follow-through on commitments.
Lead quarterly business reviews with executives. Present your numbers in the language of their business.
Anticipate what a customer needs before they ask, and name problems early with a recommendation attached.
Who you are
Analytical strengths
• Restaurant operations experience preferred — you’ve seen a bad schedule and know why it was bad.
• Strong with spreadsheets and data — comfortable working when the answer isn’t obvious.
• Comfortable with SQL and data tools, or quick to learn — you can pull the data yourself.
Customer-facing strengths
• Excellent communicator across levels — from a CFO’s labor % to a GM’s shift change, same reality, different vocabulary.
• Emotionally intelligent — you hear resistance without taking it personally.
• Honest early and anticipatory — you name hard things before they get harder and deliver what customers need before they ask.
The traits that let both halves live in one person
• Self-starter comfortable with ambiguity — the playbook is being written as we run it, and you help write it.
• Able to move from a technical debugging conversation to a strategic executive review inside the same day.
Successful candidates will have workforce analytics or operations-research background, preferably in restaurant or hospitality customer-facing SaaS experience, and English/Spanish bilingual.
Your first 90 days
Days 1–30 — Learn both halves: get up to speed on Ando’s models and scheduling engine, shadow customer meetings across intake and steady-state, and pair with Joe on weekly scorecards.
Days 30–60 — Own your first account end-to-end and produce your first analytical write-up.
Days 60–90 — Take a second account, lead a brand-new intake, and propose one improvement to how we work.
Compensation
Approximately MXN 65,000–80,000 per month (about a US $55,000/year equivalent), adjusted for experience and depth in both halves of the role.
