Job Description

This Recruiter role focuses on supporting the full recruitment lifecycle by reviewing applications, conducting initial screenings, and coordinating next steps with the talent acquisition team. You will help attract and engage qualified candidates through job postings and proactive sourcing while ensuring a positive and professional candidate experience. This position is ideal for someone early in their recruiting career who is eager to develop strong talent acquisition skills in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review applications and resumes to determine whether candidates meet minimum job qualifications.
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings via phone, email, or virtual meetings to assess skills, experience, and overall fit.
  • Document screening results thoroughly and update candidate statuses in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Forward qualified candidates to Talent Acquisition Partners for next-step interviews and further evaluation.
  • Create clear and engaging job postings on the company career site and external job boards.
  • Source candidates through platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and other recruiting tools to build strong talent pipelines.
  • Conduct outreach to passive candidates to increase applicant flow and expand the pool of qualified talent.
  • Maintain a positive candidate experience through professional, timely, and consistent communication.
  • Ensure all recruiting activities, candidate records, and documentation remain accurate, up to date, and compliant with internal processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to manage multiple requisitions and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ years of experience in recruiting, staffing, customer service, sales, or administrative roles preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience reviewing and screening resumes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Experience using LinkedIn, Indeed, or other sourcing tools.
  • Proficiency with Excel.
  • General understanding of recruiting, talent acquisition, hiring, and human resources processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a recruiting or talent acquisition support role.
  • Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and candidate databases.
  • Comfort using online recruiting platforms and job boards such as LinkedIn and Indeed.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport with candidates and internal stakeholders.
  • Interest in developing a long-term career in recruitment, staffing, or human resources.
  • Ability to work independently and stay organized in a remote work setting.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position with a standard Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You will work in a digital environment using tools such as Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), online job boards, sourcing platforms like LinkedIn and Indeed, and productivity applications including Excel. The role requires consistent online availability during core business hours, reliable internet connectivity, and the ability to communicate professionally via phone, email, and virtual meeting platforms.

This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr.
