AI Summary

You will manage employee IT operations, including device provisioning and access control, while performing day-to-day Salesforce administration tasks. This role involves maintaining data quality, building reports, and supporting various internal teams with technical requests.

The Role

You'll own the technology experience for every Cardiff employee and help keep our Salesforce environment secure, accurate, and easy to use. IT operations come first: getting people set up, keeping devices and access in order, and making sure the tools our teams rely on just work.

Alongside IT, you'll handle day-to-day Salesforce administration: users, permissions, data quality, reports, and simple automation. You'll work closely with our senior Salesforce Administrator, Engineering, and teams across Sales, RevOps, Underwriting, Marketing, and People.

This is an administrator role, not a developer role. It suits someone early in their career who likes owning a queue, solving problems end to end, and growing their skills in a fast-moving, regulated environment.

What You'll Own

Employee IT & Devices

A new employee should arrive on day one with everything they need to work.

  • Order, provision, and prepare laptops and equipment before new-hire start dates
  • Set up employee accounts and access across our SaaS tools and Salesforce
  • Deactivate accounts and recover equipment promptly during offboarding
  • Troubleshoot common hardware, software, and access issues
  • Maintain accurate equipment and asset records
  • Keep onboarding and offboarding checklists clear and current

IT Support & Access Security

  • Own incoming IT and Salesforce requests from Sales, RevOps, Underwriting, Marketing, and People
  • Understand what each requester needs, prioritize the queue, and communicate status without being chased
  • Run periodic access reviews across key systems and monitor user activity
  • Follow security best practices for accounts, passwords, licenses, and permissions
  • Learn and troubleshoot the SaaS applications our teams use every day

Salesforce Administration

  • Manage users, roles, profiles, permission sets, field-level security, and license assignments
  • Configure fields, picklist values, record types, page layouts, list views, and validation rules
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards for business teams
  • Build and update simple Flows, such as record-triggered and screen Flows, with senior review
  • Resolve Salesforce support tickets and help users get the most out of the system
  • Escalate complex issues, such as automation conflicts or integration errors, with clear notes on what you found

Data Quality

Teams should be able to trust what they see in Salesforce.

  • Identify and merge duplicates
  • Run imports, exports, and mass updates with Data Loader or similar tools
  • Support field governance and data validation
  • Report on data quality and fix ownership and access issues

Testing & Change Management

  • Test changes in sandbox before they reach production
  • Help with UAT and regression testing
  • Document what changed and close the loop with the requester

Documentation

Knowledge shouldn't live only in someone's head. You'll document:

  • IT onboarding and offboarding procedures
  • Access and permission decisions
  • Salesforce configuration and important automations
  • Business processes and common fixes
  • Integrations and how systems connect to Salesforce

How We Think About Automation & AI

We keep systems simple and maintainable. Not every problem needs another Flow, managed package, or custom build, and Engineering handles work that belongs outside Salesforce.

We'd like you to use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot to make routine work faster: drafting documentation, troubleshooting, summarizing requests, cleaning data, writing queries, creating test plans, and organizing repetitive tasks. You don't need to be an AI engineer, just curious and resourceful.

What Success Looks Like

First 30 days

  • Learn Cardiff's employee IT procedures, device setup, and access model
  • Learn our Salesforce org, main business processes, and request workflow
  • Run onboarding and offboarding for new hires and departures with support
  • Start resolving routine IT and Salesforce tickets on your own

First 60 days

  • Own employee onboarding, offboarding, and equipment tracking end to end
  • Own day-to-day user management and permission requests
  • Complete at least one access review and one data cleanup project

First 90 days

  • Handle most Tier 1 IT and Salesforce support on your own, on a predictable cadence
  • Build or improve reports and dashboards for at least one business team
  • Build and deploy simple Flows with senior review
  • Eliminate or automate at least one recurring manual task
  • Keep IT and admin documentation up to date

Required Qualifications

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator certification
  • 1–3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or Salesforce administration
  • Hands-on experience provisioning laptops, setting up accounts, and supporting employee onboarding and offboarding
  • Experience troubleshooting common hardware, software, and SaaS access issues
  • Experience managing Salesforce users, profiles, permission sets, and roles
  • Experience building Salesforce reports and dashboards
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Flow and basic automation concepts
  • Experience with Data Loader or similar data-management tools
  • Strong attention to detail and a careful approach to data, access, and security
  • Clear communication with technical and non-technical users
  • Comfortable using AI tools for research, troubleshooting, and documentation

Nice to Have

  • Previous help desk or device-management (MDM) experience
  • Experience with Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Salesforce, and other SaaS applications.
  • Salesforce Platform App Builder or other Salesforce certifications
  • Exposure to sandbox testing, change sets, or other deployment tools
  • Basic knowledge of SOQL, REST APIs, or JSON
  • Familiarity with Lead and Opportunity processes
  • Experience in fintech, lending, banking, or another regulated environment

Who You Are

You like organized systems, clean data, documented processes, and users who know where to go for help. You communicate proactively: if something is blocked, you say so before anyone asks.

You understand the problem before building a fix, and you know when to escalate. No task is beneath you, whether it's a broken permission, duplicate records, or a new hire who needs a laptop by Monday.

This Role May Not Be a Fit If You

  • Don't want hands-on responsibility for laptops, equipment, onboarding, or offboarding
  • Don't want to provide internal user and IT support
  • Prefer making changes directly in production without testing or documentation

Compensation & Benefits

  • $32/hour, 40-hours/week
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) plan
  • Flexible PTO and observed holidays
  • Remote-first, with support for your home-office setup
