Role Summary

The Platform Governance Engineer will play a key role in supporting operational governance, infrastructure standards, and platform health across Foundever’s global enterprise server environments. This role is focused on ensuring operational compliance, patching governance, privileged access reviews, infrastructure monitoring, and adherence to enterprise platform standards.

This is not a traditional infrastructure build or architecture role. This is an infrastructure governance engineer will work closely with GCC, infrastructure, and platform teams to identify operational gaps, improve platform reliability, and ensure enterprise standards are consistently followed across global environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and validate compliance of enterprise infrastructure platforms against operational and security standards
• Review Windows server patching compliance and coordinate remediation activities with operational teams
• Monitor privileged access management practices including domain admin reviews and stale account identification
• Collaborate with GCC and infrastructure teams to identify operational risks and support remediation efforts
• Support governance activities across Microsoft Windows Server and VMware environments
• Participate in platform health reviews, operational audits, and compliance tracking
• Work with global teams to ensure consistency in infrastructure standards and operational processes
• Perform infrastructure monitoring, operational analysis, and issue identification across enterprise environments
• Support root cause analysis discussions for recurring operational issues
• Maintain operational documentation, standards tracking, and governance records
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for platform operations and infrastructure reliability

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–6 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Operations, Platform Operations, or Enterprise IT environments
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server environments (2016 or higher)
• Strong understanding of Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and enterprise identity/access concepts
• Strong experience with Windows Server patching and operational governance processes
• Hands-on exposure to VMware vSphere technologies including ESXi and vCenter
• Good understanding of enterprise infrastructure operations and platform lifecycle management
• Experience working within large enterprise environments
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and know when to escalate operational issues appropriately
• Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills

Good to Have

• Exposure to Linux server environments (Red Hat/Ubuntu)
• Exposure to enterprise monitoring or compliance reporting tools
• Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell preferred)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• ITIL or relevant Microsoft/VMware certifications
