INPATIENT FACILITY AUDITOR

You’ll be responsible for reviewing inpatient facility medical coding for accuracy, compliance, and adherence to official coding guidelines. Ensures the quality and integrity of coded data, identifies opportunities for improvement, and provides constructive feedback and education to coding staff to support accurate documentation, reimbursement, and regulatory compliance.   If you’re looking for a career where your skills are valued and your work makes a difference, you’ll find your place at Ensource.   What you’ll do: Performs quality assurance reviews/audits to internal coding staff with appropriate feedback. Promote consistency and accuracy of coding and documentation practices, and conduct chart reviews that verify the correct assignment of diagnosis/procedure codes. Provides quality review (QA) related education and feedback with new staff during the onboarding and orientation, or as indicated. Demonstrates ability to educate, develop and stimulate the professional growth and development of staff members. Demonstrates working knowledge of regulatory and provider guidelines, updating knowledge base continuously through self-study.   What you’ll need: Current AHIMA or AAPC coding certification(s) At least 3-4 years coding/auditing CPT, ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS following official guidelines Understanding of physiology, medical terminology, and disease processes Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-department collaboration Strong team player with high attention to detail that can adapt easily to continuous change Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams. Work is normally performed in a typical interior/home office work environment Work is normally performed in a dedicated, private room in your home that is quiet during work hours. Access to high-speed internet and workstation.   Physical Requirements: Physical effort required is very limited, if any. Exposure to physical risk is none or very limited. This is largely a sedentary role. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
